I started playing Morrowind on the Xbox, so for nostalgia reasons it will always be my favorite in a way.
Pros: Pick up and play. More chill potential.
Cons: No mods , patches or console. Better performance/graphics.
Not that I ever missed any of those, since you cannot miss what you've never had ...

Do you actually let him land the first blow? It's not enough that he gets angry and shouts, he has to attack first as well.

Hmm, Morrowinds minimum is 32mb Direct3D. That's actually what i play the game with, btw. :D

Re: Worst Pickup Line you've ever used/heard?
I once pulled this one:
- Hey, I can I show you my new watch?
- Why?
- It's extremely high tech and has revolutionary functions that you wouldn't believe!
- Like what?
- Well, it can tell that you're not wearing any underwear.
- But I am.
- My bad, I must've set it one hour early.

I'd go with marksman.
Like the the Lazy Waysef says, it's generally more effective early in the game due to "Bound Longbow" and prohibitive magicka costs for destruction spells. Plus it's easy to stay undetected at a distance, which is why the critical multiplier is lower for ranged weapons in the ...

Question about the 5th anniversary edition
I want to pick up the expansions and figured I might as well buy this nice rerelease.
BUT, first I want to know if it requires Steam. Anyone care to enlighten me?

Re: In Need Of Some Decent TV Shows
I'll second Big Bang Theory. I also like Scrubs, though what little I have seen of the last season(s?) is terrible.
But House M.D. is my favorite show by far at the moment. The formula might be a bit to repetitive for some, but I like it. Also has the best dark humor in my opinion.

Aaahh, man do I love this game. I'm having difficulty deciding wheter Morrowind or Kotor is my favorite of all time, it's actually leaning towards the latter.

I've always been curious about the lifespan of elves. We all know they live much longer than all other races, is this true for the Dunmer as well? How many years would it take for you to be considered 'old'?

Re: PC specs for skyrim?
Interesting, according to the article my trusty Geforce 7800 GTX (with 256 mb VRAM) might actually run the game decently enough at low-medium settings, even though minimum is 512 mb. I think I'd be happy with low though. If that's the case I might actually suffer through Steam despite my earlier ...

Not a remake, mind, but still.

It's no problem really, just that it's weird to have the menu brown and then suddenly change to red.
Thank you for the linky, but it appears that the video files are on the game dvd. I've no idea how to replace it though.

Isn't it possible to cap max fps in the Oblivion.ini? This seems suspiciously similar.

Hey y'all, me again.
I've just installed DarkUI v.3.5 by Sir Bob and there was this problem. The installer created a "Morrowind" folder within the Morrowind folder, so the data files didn't merge properly. So I manually editted the .ini and put all meshes, splashes, fonts and textures in the right ...

I mean that I don't have goty edition, so 1.6 (or whatever, the Bloodmoon patch) won't work on my game. Therefore, I haven't even bothered trying to install MGSO, yet anyway.

Thanks, OD. Oblivion runs very well on high settings, so that's a bit reassuring.
Unfortunately, I only own vanilla atm, which won't accept the latest 1.6 patch even though the MGSO guide said it would.

Cheers Scozzar.
I figured that the worst thing that could happen was that it wouldn't run at all. I'm having MGSO in mind actually. Since MGE is included in the package I figured I had to use it (and that it had all the shiny textures and meshes... silly me).

1 GB DDR1 PC3200 Ram
256 MB Geforce 7800 GTX
I could score another gig of ram very cheaply, though, assuming it would help.

To me, each paragraph seems to be a description of different guilds in the following order:
Redoran
Fighters Guild
Telvanni
Mages Guild
Hlaalu
Thieves Guild
Morag Tong
The descriptions seem to resemble the ones found in their respective, in-game "guild book". A bit of a halfway guess but I'll say ...

That has to be some kind of a record.
I always find it cool that the MC becomes ageless after the second trial.
Anyway, nicely done, your turn.
