Hey y'all, me again.
I've just installed DarkUI v.3.5 by Sir Bob and there was this problem. The installer created a "Morrowind" folder within the Morrowind folder, so the data files didn't merge properly. So I manually editted the .ini and put all meshes, splashes, fonts and textures in the right place. Everything works except the video presenting the main menu, it's still the same.
The mod did install a video folder with mw_logo.bik, but I don't know where to put it, it doesn't work when I put in the Morrowind or Data file directories. I haven't been able to find the original mw_logo.bik either. Anyone know where the original mw_logo.bik is stored? Or, even better, how to replace it? I'm on XP, default installastion path.
Where are you, mw_logo.bik?

This thread (http://forums.gamespy.com/morrowind_technical_problems/b49680/7664505/p1/) might help. One suggestion was to replace the .bik file with a blank one, or even a no-video mod. Maybe that will work?

Thanks, but like said I'm having trouble even finding the original file. I guess the op was a bit unclear, I want the intro video, just not the old one. Starting to think it's on the cd...

Okay, so if playing the game is a problem without the file, I'd suggest the mod idea, but if you just want the mod file and you've run a search for it? Maybe this will help.

It's no problem really, just that it's weird to have the menu brown and then suddenly change to red.
Thank you for the linky, but it appears that the video files are on the game dvd. I've no idea how to replace it though.

Sorry about that. I'll let you know if I come across anything, but I'm a little unsure of what to do at the moment. Hopefully someone else will know how to set things right.

Open up the CD, then go to the video folder. You should be able to find it there... I think anyway.
EDIT: I installed this mod and it works fine. I just didn't bother to install the Custom intro movie, that is no doubt the problem. It told me it would make a morrowind folder where the actual Morrowind folder is, but even though I clicked accept it seems to have just done what it is suppose to.
