FIRE
Hello. It has been a long time since I have done any modding for Morrowind. I am relearning a few things about the construction set again. I am trying to put a fire in the fireplace, but cannot seem to find the fire itself for placement. I thought it was located under the "light" tab, but I don't ...

cell transfer
This question has probably been asked and answered, but I couldn't find it. What I want to know is if I can transfer an internal cell from one of my own mods to another of my mods. And then how to do it.

Oblivion Merchant creation
I have created several merchants in Oblivion, and they work fine, except for one thing. They do not delete any old merchandise I sold them during the game. After a while, the transaction time becomes ridiculously long due to this (I assume this is the reason, as they are overwhelmed in 'for sale ...

Merchants
I recently tried to make a mod for Morrowind. In it is a house where a merchant lives. I have done everything I could do to set him up correctly, but he does not offer to sell anything. I cannot think of anything I might have missed. What I want to know here is, are there any tutorials online that ...

Morrowind merchants
This might be a stupid question, but I cannot find an answer to it anywhere. I have been trying to make a merchant in Morrowind. I have everything in place as far as I can tell, but the merchant does not offer to serve as a merchant. I can't find any tutorials on the topic anywhere online that have ...

Doors not rendering
I am not new to modding, but am new to modding in Morrowind. My problem is that doors do not render when I link them. I can put the door in the cell, unlinked, and it is there in-game. But once I link it to another cell for teleportation, it no longer renders and no activation prompt exists to ...

Re: General Mod Discussion - Chilly Snow Edition
This is true. They are upright. It is only one suggestion, of course. You could also find yourself one of those nice lakes and build out onto the water. As I said, it all depends on what you want. I don't know your vision, but I do know that whatever you build it has to meet some inner vision of ...

Re: General Mod Discussion - Chilly Snow Edition
I placed one building on an island on the Sea of Ghosts. One house I suspended between two bridges over the river east of Markarth. I found room to build a fairly sizable castle southwest of Riften. There is building space in the land around Eldergleam Sanctuary, although the terrain is a little ...

Re: Stormcloak quest help?
It sounds like a glitch. There are places where other npc's do very much the same thing. Sometimes it works to run away until they aren't chasing you any more, then fast travel somewhere else. Then come back and see if the behavior stops.

Re: EA at E3
I don't feel anything either way about EA. I have Origin, but that's just to laumch KOA and Dragon Ages 1and 2. I wasn't impressed that much with Dragon Age 2, though. I see nothing on Origin I would actually buy. But if they stay in business they are obviously selling games to somebody.

Re: The Error 80 Thread
It has only happened to me a few times, twice on Skyrim and once on Dishonored. In all three cases, restarting my computer (reboot) was all that was needed to fix it. I wouldn't worry too much. Like you said, it happens to everyone sooner or later. And as long as a reboot will fix it, its not that ...

Re: Most disappointing artifact?
I have to agree with the notion that most Daedric artifacts are useless. Ebony sword is one of the worst. Even upgraded, a good two handed sword beats it, and by then you have no allies left to help you, as you'be killed them all to beef up the sword. And Skull of Corruption. Actually, the only ...

Re: My female Argonian drawing. Help me think of a name for
You certainly don't want my suggestions. I have had two Argonian characters, one named Hides-in-Closets, and the other Sleeps-on-Toilets. Clearly, naming Argonians will not be, in the final analysis, what I'll be remembered for.

Re: anyone else think elder scrolls has become too convolute
I don't think the lore dummied down in Skyrim. I think it was confusing in the first place. For instance, Meridia hates necromancy. Yet he/she produced Umaril the Unfeathered. The Ayleids were extreme necromancers from what I've read. By all rights Meridia should have joined forces to wipe them out ...

Re: Does anybody else miss the Scenery of Oblivion?
I did find it ironic that they put so much more into the graphics in Skyrim, then gave us this very mundane black-and-white landscape. Lower Skyrim could stand to be prettier.

Re: i want to play previous elder scrolls series,but..
I got the feeling that Skyrim was leveling for dummies. There really isn't any strategy to it. One level-up, for instance, with your point placed on stamina, adds only five pounds to your carry capacity. You have to level up seven times to add one steel cuirass to your inventory. The ore veins do ...

Re: i want to play previous elder scrolls series,but..
For me I found the opposite. Most of the time I don't even level my Skyrim characters up much from level one. The leveling system is so bad in Skyrim that it doesn't help me at all. Oblivion had the most ingenious leveling system I ever saw in a video game. You could do anything with it. But in ...

Re: Console for dawnguard and hearthfire
For Hex codes, the first two digits is the index number, that identifies the mod or file it's from. Vanilla Skyrim is "00" by default. The rest depend upon the load order you have them in. For Dawnguard, Hearthfire, or any downloaded mod, the easiest way to get the first two digits is to find ...

Re: Decorating Question: Clear and Lucid-looking Items?
Scaling is easy. Single click the item, then hold the S key while moving the mouse foreward or backward. I wouldn't suggest it except that I have had tremendous success with it myself. It opens a lot of possibilities.

Re: Decorating Question: Clear and Lucid-looking Items?
Just curious, as I have never actually placed water in oblivion. Have u tried checking bodies of water, ie small ponds, etc? You might be able to scale them down. I know all the caveats say not to scale below 50%, but I often find that to not be entirely true. In both Oblivion and Skyrim I have been ...

Re: Hail Lydia
Lydia was my love interest/spouse during my first few playthroughs. I don't like followers, so never took her anywhere. But I never disliked her. Plenty of other people to hate in the game: Delphine, Maven Blackbriar, Aela the Huntress, etc.

I downloaded it a while back to take a look at it. It seemed nice enough. I didn't keep it of course. But there is no harm in downloading it to take a look yourself. If it isn't for you, just uninstall it again.

Re: NPC's not appearing in game
No, I'm making sure I'm adding it to the .esp file that I'm working on, and that is active as the "save to" file. The only other thing I have active is Skyrim.esm. I also have confirmed that I didn't accidentally check the NPC as being initially disabled. But I get the error message: "Textures ...
