I'm trying to simulate water in a basin next to my bed, but I'm not sure what item I should use. Ideally something small and clear that can be piled easily. Right now I'm using ectoplasm but it's a bit to gel-like and each piece doesn't really sit closely to one another. Perhaps one of the nectars?
There are no bathrooms in the houses really so I though it would be neat to at least have a place to wash my face after all those long journeys There's a sprig of lavender and some aloe leaves sitting on top of the bowl as well for those soothing and nourishing effects!
Advice appreciated!

Ally McBeal: Even if I did get past all my problems, I'm just gonna get out and get new ones
When I played Oblivion, my Dark Brotherhood character collected every flawless diamond, ruby, emerald, topaz and sapphire she ever came across and dropped them into the chest sitting atop the Warlock's Luck in Bravil, a short leap away from the Skooma Den's porch.
I always put there in the hope someone would come across it and marvel at finding something far better than a silver pitcher and loaf of bead.
In the mid 1990's, Sierra released the Hellfire expansion to the Blizzard game Diablo. One of the features was called "The Conerstone of the World". Essentially, a player could deposit one item there, and another character from another gamesave could retrieve it. It was a connection between two realities. In the 90's, Mind = Blown.
In 2013, such a simple thing seems so much like a lost art...
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.
I've hopped there once or twice, Dark Spark. I never thought about using it as a storage unit before, which seems silly to me in retrospect that I haven't considering it's away from all those unknowing NPC's. Makes me wish I hadn't left my potions-making equipment not one but -two- times in a Mages guild and a Fighters guild, respectively. Both disappeared and I didn't feel at that point it was worth the hassle of going to the saves I had since I'd made so much progress otherwise. I just never learn! Now that I have Benirus' Manor that problem is no more.
Yes, I agree it's strange what things they can't get to work these days considering the technology then versus now. That blows my mind as well.

Just curious, as I have never actually placed water in oblivion. Have u tried checking bodies of water, ie small ponds, etc? You might be able to scale them down. I know all the caveats say not to scale below 50%, but I often find that to not be entirely true. In both Oblivion and Skyrim I have been succeissful at scaling a number of things quite a bit.
I haven't tried scaling at all yet, actually. I might get into that soon, as there are a few things I keep seeing around the place that don't look proportional and it bothers me.

Scaling is easy. Single click the item, then hold the S key while moving the mouse foreward or backward. I wouldn't suggest it except that I have had tremendous success with it myself. It opens a lot of possibilities.
