Now I'm wondering more and more about the other creatures of Morrowind...netch and nix-hounds are also utterly bizarre...
Agreed. The netch are some of the most intriguing ES creatures. They were always portrayed as the most alien yet natural animals. And, whereas the ESO kwama redesign is ...

Re: The Kwama Mystique
Nice response! There is definitely plenty to support the symbiosis theory.
Regarding the 'tail' of the warriors, I believe that the worm-like forager body grows from end to end of the warrior, and the outside body is the exoskeleton. For instance, all digestion and major organs would be in the ...

The Kwama Mystique
Lately I've grown to enjoy thinking about wildlife in games. From Red Dead Redemption to Skyrim, I've been taking my time hunting and observing the naturally occurring wildlife (e.g. in Skyrim, Spiders, Deer, Mudcrabs, Trolls...) as well as other creatures roaming the lands.

Honestly, the theme doesn't excite me. I was hoping for something delving deeper into the politics and warfare of the war and the Thalmor. Then again, I've been playing too much of The Witcher 2.
Putting that aside, it does look incredible. I'm sure it will turn out well, and I'll most definitely ...

Dragons don't shout like that! Unrealistic. Dragons don---dragons...don't exist. Unrealistic. Oh no...this entire game is entirely off the charts when it comes to realism. I entered all the necessary data in SPSS and elves do not exist in our reality . This is too unrealistic, guys and girls.

Re: Two teens discuss Skyrim in a games designer-esque manne
This doesn't sound like a "games designer-eque" dialogue. It reads like two people who have perfectly good opinions, but wouldn't know how to "fix" or implement the keys to the problems that they see. A lot of, "I don't like this. They could have implemented this feature, or cut this one.", but ...

Regardless, he is an unavoidable stepping stone between Ocato and Mede I. Enough to warrant him as the equivalent of an "emperor" as he 'ruled' the Empire. Semantics.

So out of curiosity, in each kalpa, do the large, general events occur in the same way? These events being the creation of each race, the landscape and towers of Nirn remaining the same, etc. Or can reality be shaped in others forms?

What TomDD said.
You will still find enemies that level with you, depending on their role in the game and what areas you enter into (at different levels), but for the most part things will feel more balanced. I'm not saying they are more balanced, but I can safely say that on various difficulties I ...

Re: Do you want the empire to reform?
Part of me wants to see a radical change, so I'd say no. I would not like to see the Imperial Empire reform.
However , with that being said, Skyrim already put forth a fairly influential change on the status quo of the Empire, so I wouldn't be disappointed with its reformation. Its been changing ...

I think that they are the best candidate for a new playable race, they have an interestign culture, they are relatively human in form . . . and they have unique traits
I'd at least like to see them, you know? But hey, I'll give Bethesda time.

I'd always hoped I would have found a definitive in-game source on the Mede family tree, but noooo. I guess they'll clear it up eventually.
With so many factors playing a role, its hard to tell. He might be Mede I's son, and perhaps he looks older than he is. The war with the Thalmor could have ...

Like so many have stated before me, the first time I beat the main quest was, for lack of better words, exhilarating. Not because it was difficult, but because of how it played out. You didn't need to "kill" some incredibly tough boss, nor did you need to destroy some world-eating monster....you ...

I don't know, though, I want to say the extent of his appearances is following him to his grave, or burial site maybe. I don't think he has a full-on quest or anything.

Anybody have any info on what could have possibly happened to Divyath Fyr? (Really liked that guy).

Re: What are the real world influences on the races of Tamri
Very much so. I like how all the races have their own equal footing, and their own flaws. Bethesda doesn't try to instill that sense of wonder that Tolkien did with his elves.
