If anyone cares I tried to marry her when she was cured of vampirism. Same results :/

That would be incest. Not to mention her and her father don't really get along and theres the fact that she was locked a way for at least a couple hundred years.

eh, they live forever and probably lack the ability to reproduce normally while also basically existing on their own landmass far from "civilization".

Would it really matter to devout followers of a lord of rape, subjugation, and domination the intricacies of incest or personal feelings between individuals?

Yes! just because they are immortal undead doesn't mean they aren't civilized. If they were uncivilized, they wouldn't have the set political structure that Garan Merthi is always mentioning.

I thought they couldn't have children until I remembered the Gray Prince, if males can still reproduce why can't females. Plus they were humans once I doubt her dad truly "had" her.

From what I've read, I'm fairly certain Serana was already born when she and her parents were transformed into vampires.

I'm not saying they aren't civilized. I'm saying they have a different idea of "civil" where it's common place to violently butcher one another on a whim and eat people. They kill and torment like the people elsewhere in Skyrim drink mead and whine about the war. I'm pretty sure they don't share the same outlook on most things that mortal people do, so I don't expect them to conform to what I've become accustomed to thinking.

Loosely in the words of the great Alucard: "[&@%!] <they> eat people!!" *slam*

They can do whatever they want :Twisted Evil:

Also as you travel with Serana asking about her family, she will say that her father became obsessed with the prophecy and that he lost sight of everything else.

On a side somewhat unrelated note: It just dawned on me that Volkihar vampires apparently age. Because while you are exploring the castle together (during the quest that leads you to the courtyard) she mentions she used to explore there when she was young and noted that the a little vampire girl kept the skeevers away. Yet she is no longer a little kid and appears in her 20s. So do the Vampires continue to age a certain number of years after turning then stop?

I always thought they aged just at a slower rate than mortals. The wiki page discussion says she at least 4208 years old.

When I said she was in her 20s I meant appearance wise not age wise. But I thought that Vampires just didn't age especially since Babette is still a little girl. And I am pretty sure she mentions that she will be that way forever but I may be mistaken.

Maybe Serana was turned into a vampire at an older age, say 20. She would've hardly undergone Molag Bals ritual at 10 years of age.

When Serena mentioned a little vampire girl, I thought she meant someone who wasn't her...

Right, which, when cross-referenced with lore, indicates they were probably all raped in some form or another by Molag Bal.

And that's why I think she was about 20 when she was turned into a vampire. When she is talking about a young vampire girl she could easily be talking about her mental age, I'm sure when you've lived 4000 years being 20 seems a life time ago (Or several lifetimes in Serana's case.)
