Re: Your modding philosophy?
I haven't gotten my gaming stuff yet, but I've been looking into mods for a long time. My whole goal with it is to add stuff that really 'should' have been there from the get-go, along with some immersive stuff (better/realistic female armors, frostfall, some texture updates, other race children ...

Looking for immersive/realistic Skyrim Mods
Hey everyone! I should be getting a gaming rig (relatively) soon and I'm really hoping to get some Skyrim mods. I already have a few planned - Interesting NPCs, Alternative Start, considering Frostfire, Better Female Armors (dang boob armor lol), some other texture mods, etc. - though I'd really ...

Re: Did / Do you resist the temptation of an Ebony Dagger?
@Lord that makes me feel better :)
@Lav two daggers? How???????????!
Honestly I'd have to find and charge my old laptop and get it running again lol. I could be wrong - I just swear I remember dual-wielding two black daggers. I wasn't running the official Bethesda version though (I had a fan ...

Re: Did / Do you resist the temptation of an Ebony Dagger?
It's been awhile since I played it (had it downloaded on my old laptop, still need to get it on my new one), but if I recall correctly, throughout the beginning choices I somehow had... two Ebony daggers.
Without them I wouldn't have been able to get out of the beginning dungeon, to be honest. xD

Re: What do you think Akavir will be like?
I kinda hope we never see it, since the whole 'mystery to the allusion' kind of thing. I'd be fine with seeing parts of it - maybe related to a quest that temporarily sends the PC there - but I wouldn't want a full game on it.
If we were to see parts of it, I'd love to see some Indian themes ...

Re: Debating on who to align with.
Hey guys, just wanted to mention again that this is more about a bosmer and the interactions in the civil war, not just a Stormcloaks vs. Empire thread - which is a topic in of itself that's been debated to death. I'd be fine with discussion of other races and which side they might be opt for ...

Re: Debating on who to align with.
See I'm not too sure how much protection is given to those in the Legion.
Well they managed to keep this dude alive for nigh on 150 years, and he doesn't even have the power of the thu'um.
If he's an active member, I'd say it's more of a matter of how well he was able to keep himself alive in ...

Saddest/Disturbing/Creepy moments in Skyrim
Mostly focused on sidequests and/or small details in the game, rather than parts of the main campaign - but feel free to share whatever! :)
I always found parts dealing with the Falmer to be very creepy, disturbing, and sad - like in Tolvald's Crossing, where you can find the ghosts of dunmer ...

Re: Debating on who to align with.
I believe that the Bosmer willingly joined the new Aldmeri Dominion.
I believe they willing joined the first Aldmeri Dominion (the one in ESO), but the second Aldmeri Dominion, it sounds like they were more or less taken over and it's implied that the Thalmor routinely preform genocide on the ...

Debating on who to align with as a Bosmer PC
Hey everyone! :sweetroll:
So, I rolled a bosmer character a bit ago - her name is Allena. Now, for Allena, I'm not really sure who I want her to ally with: Stormcloaks or Imperials. Now, I don't want this to be a simple "Oh, she is an elf, Imperials" or which faction is better/worse than the other ...

Re: Jarl of Falkreath won't talk to me (Hearthfire)
Because it was a bandit chief assigned to me by Valga, the innkeeper, not Sidgeir. It was a radiant 'bounty' quest, not the one that he gives you to earn his favor.
Seems like it's an issue that he can't actually assign me to any bandit camps - I guess I cleared all of the bandit areas he'll ...

Re: Jarl of Falkreath won't talk to me (Hearthfire)
Receiving the letter means that you get to skip the weird radiant quest and go straight to the bandit one, so having conflicting quests isn't your issue.
If you've gotten the reward for killing the bandit chief, then you should have Siddgeir's favour. Falkreath is a notoriously buggy hold though ...

Jarl of Falkreath won't talk to me (Hearthfire)
So I have a pretty fresh character (level 9 or so), and she recently got a letter from a courier to talk to the Jarl of Falkreath. I went there, and I was able to finish up a bandit quest for them (it's a misc one I got from the inn), but he won't talk to me about the letter he gave me. I went and ...
Re: Education
Sometimes in houses, jail cells, etc you find a random bucket, which I always kind of assumed were the toilets in the houses - sometimes in weird locations but hey, you gotta poop were you gotta poop.

Re: TESVI Could Be A Very Different Elder Scrolls
Just going to pop in here but the only kind of multiplayer I'd want to see in a TES single-player is one were you play with one friend (maaaybe two) and it's basically a single player campaign (with the host being the PC) and their friends basically replace their followers. And maybe whatever look ...

Re: Slavery in Morrowind
Remember that most of Telvanni are composed of solitary researchers that don't really care about anything besides their research. Many of them might have survived, it's just that not many are interested in running the Great House business - hence the thought of the fall. Same may be the reason ...

Re: Slavery in Morrowind
Considering the state Morrowind was in during Skyrim, I doubt dunmeri slave owners would have a very good grip on slaves. Most slaves where Khajiit and Argonian, and during the events between Oblivion-Skyrim, Argonians invaded Morrowind and claimed parts of it. Much of Vvardenfell was destroyed ...

Re: Bretons, Conjuration, Necromancy, and Naming Conventions
It really depends where and when you're looking at Bretons. Bretons can have very French names, English, or Celtic (primarily Irish), and sometimes straight up "fantasy" names that don't seem to quite fit in the after-mentioned groups.
