I quite like the bosmer for a combination of their aesthetic and that their racial skill is terrible.
Whenever I play a race with an amazing racial, I feel like I'm cheating myself if I don't use it, but I never want to use it...just in case. Also, disease resistance is quite nice.

Sheogorath.
When he threatened to make me fall in love with a cloud in Oblivion, I was sold. "This," I said to myself, "is a mad god who really knows how to torment someone."

Re: Have the Guilds in Skyrim improved?
Dark Brotherhood: Fun but short. It lost all the interesting special parameters for the contracts that oblivion had, so that's a loss, but the characters are more interesting.

That's true. But at least they would still have the thieves guild's abilities. I'm sure that they could easily pay the thieves guild for use of espionage.

Honestly, having Black-Briars and the Guild on your side is an asset, not a hindrance. Riften is the only hold with anything significantly in the way of espionage, and that's going to make all the difference.

Re: Armour and Health
My Archer has a pool of 150 health at level 52, and all the rest of my levels have gone into stamina. Playing on Master it means I'm a glass cannon; I can one shot anything...if I get em from stealth, but almost anything which is scarier than a wolf can one shot me too. Its been a very enjoyable way ...

Re: Daily Skyrim Debate: Skyrim Hold Wars
Haafingar has quite a few advantages over all the other holds, though some of the others would be strong contenders.
Haafingar has the benefit of having access to a port, which all the other holds lack, though Falkreath and the Rift are not as hindered by this due to their access to large roads ...

Re: Daily Skyrim Debate: Vampires vs Werewolves?
I went out of my way to contract vampirism (which is way more annoying than it should be as a bosmer), and it didn't really do anything for me. As a sneak heavy archer, I thought it would be a nice buff, but it never made any real difference. And the fact that I could wander around in the sunlight ...

It's an awesome feeling when you hit that point when you know nothing can harm you, save for those [&@%!] Ancient Dragons.

Re: Buying a house is annoying.
If you just need a place to stash your stuff, go to Markath. Do the House of Horrors quest there. Its the Daedric quest for Molag Bal, and you get a "free" house. You won't actually own the property, but the containers never reset, and no other NPCs will ever enter the place, so they won't steal ...

Re: Why do Skyrim's vampires suck?
Because in the time between Oblivion's release and Skyrim's, the Twilight movies have come out. Skyrim vampires are Twilight vampires.
That's why you hate being a vampire in Skyrim, because even if you didn't realize that on a conscious level, deep down your brain made the connection.

In all honestly, Mjoll is all talk as well, unless you get her off her ass and make her go do stuff with you.
In the case of certain badass (or even interesting NPCs), I tend to suspend my disbelief, and choose to believe they do go out and do stuff when I'm not around.

Re: Backstab enchant
According to the Wiki, and my own experience as an obsessive enchanter, the enchant for sneak attacks to do additional damage is only found on the various Dark Brotherhood gloves. There are no "random" items which can be disenchanted to learn a comparable enchant.
So only the Jester's Gloves ...

People actually like Karliah? That's honestly surprising.
For the people who voted for Lydia (whom I don't have anything against), a brief video of her exploits.

I walked out of the DB santuary, and a dead wolf, deer, and naked women all kinds fell in a pile in front of me, then the deer rag-dolled around for a few seconds before disappearing entirely.

I'm really, really starting to hate the NPC detection and world lighting. I have 100 stealth skill, with all the perks, and all my gear is enchanted to improve my stealth, yet it seems that every friggin' monster and random goon knows my exact location in a dark crypt if they so much as catch a ...
