Where are you installing Morrowind? Windows systems can be really finicky about games installed in the program files.
You might try this: uninstall Morrowind and the Construction Set if you haven't already. Then go in to your C drive on your computer, and create a new folder. You can name this ...

Re: Arrow to the Knee = Getting Married?
Well my husband and I have been using "I used to be an adventurer like you, then I took a toddler in the knee" as a running joke for quite some time now, so yeah...

Re: Skyrim mysteries
On a related note, I've always wondered what was up with that skeletal human torso that's lying on the road just outside Whiterun. What happened there, and why has no one bothered to clean up?
Whiterun is just creepy. It looks all nice, but then you find a skeleton floating in the moat under ...

Re: can we talk about Hadvar and Ralof
I guess I will start my epic quest to look for Hadvar...
Fortunately I went with him on all my other characters.
And a question to all who followed Ralof out and then joined the Legion. Did you see Hadvar in any of the quests that he is supposed to appear in?
It's been awhile, but I think ...

Re: Skyrim mysteries
I'd like to know more about the Abandoned Carts of Skyrim. Every now and then you come across a cart that's been carelessly abandoned, sometimes even rolling down a hill at you. Who left them there? There's no bodies nearby. At the foot of Dustman's Cairn there's an overturned cart and cabbages ...

Re: can we talk about Hadvar and Ralof
I'm certain that once upon a time I followed Ralof from Helgen, then joined the Legion and Hadvar was there. So maybe they're not dead, just faded into the obscurity of war. It is strange that neither of their families mentions them. Kind of like how no one in Rorikstead has heard of Lokir. Not that ...

I always wondered what happened to Mrs Balgruuf. The Jarl has three young children but his wife is never mentioned. Especially interesting since

Re: Fellow Orcs: Empire or Stormcloaks
I think Orcs would be more apt to side with the Empire. Traditionally Orcs have a strong presence in the Legion, and I can see any Orc being a bit nervous about Ulfric's general "Skyrim for the Nords" attitude. I don't know about the more assimilated Orcs, but there does seem to be some hostility ...

Ha ha, that's brilliant! I'm still amazed that even after all this time I still encounter new dialogues between characters. Just the other day I overheard a conversation between Niranye and Jora in Windhelm, with the elf offering to help Jora and her husband dissapear if the Thalmor should ever ...

Ha ha ha! This one actually took me in for a few minutes. :) Although in my defense I've been up since 5am with a bouncy toddler, and I also forgot it was April Fool's. It was Easter just yesterday! I'm still nibbling on chocolate.

You know, I think I remember that too. Glitch, or some sort of random Easter Egg? I haven't had much time to play Skyrim this week so haven't been back to see if I can find the ghost audio again.

Weird Solstheim Audio Bug?
I just recently got Dragonborn for PC but I've run in to what seems like an odd bug. I found a dead Dunmer miner near some ores, but I kept hearing his disembodied voice going on about lost treasure. It was definitely located in that area and there was no one else nearby. Later I encountered this ...

Re: Skyrim's Cut content
Huh. Do you know if cutting favor quests led to cutting follower/marriage options?
Its possible that they may have, but there no way to be sure.

Re: Is there a way to make an honest living in skyrim?
If you make use of Hearthfire's greenhouse option, as well as the outdoor garden, taking crops from farmers becomes redundant. I was surprised to learn that you can even plant carrots, which aren't a "harvestable" crop in the regular game. (You only find them as already-harvested in-game clutter ...

Re: Is there a way to make an honest living in skyrim?
Although mining (and Ore depletion) is involved, you can make a decent living by crafting Jewelry from Gold and Silver Ingots plus random Jewels. Believe me, it's a better return than running around and selling nothing but the various cheeses you find. I've tried.

Re: Skyrim's Cut content
That is annoying about the civil war. Considering how big a role it plays in the game's storyline the actual war feels like nothing. On my first runthrough I joined up with the Stormcloaks and it seemed I'd conquored all of Skyrim in about 10 minutes. Just take over a few forts and there you go ...

I for some reason was under the impression that sabrecats wouldn't cross running water. Cats hate to get their feet wet, right? One day I was out with a new character, a Breton alchemist with no armour whatsoever. I spied a sabrecat patrolling on the other side of a river and cheekily decided to ...

Re: Is there a way to make an honest living in skyrim?
Alchemy and smithing are probably the most interesting ways of making money without dungeon delving. I have had characters who wandered the wilds of Skyrim harvesting plants and mining ores to smith. Alchemists can be fun for this, travelling from one region to another to experiment with the local ...

Re: I can't not roleplay
I do to an extent; I get a character in mind and try to keep to their ethos, but I don't usually take it much further than that. For some reason roleplay is always most important when starting out a new character. I dress them in ordinary clothes when not out adventuring, chop wood for my room and ...

Some encounters I get all the time, others I rarely see. I've played different characters and put a lot of hours into the game but the encounters I get are pretty similar.
