Re: Requiem - Thief bug?
Did you by any chance also run into an "Alpha Wolf"? It sounds like you might have somehow managed to enable the E3 demo's content... which would be bad.
Of course, I've never played Requiem, so I wouldn't know if this is intentional, but it still sounds unusual.

Requiem - Thief bug?
So, I downloaded the Requiem overhaul today, after getting out of Helgen, Hadvar and I were jumped by a thief, he was rather strong, but after some kiting around the rocks I was able to kill them. Upon looting him his gear seemed rather..strong, to say the least.

Re: Question regarding height.
Scale is scale, not height. If something's scale is 1.0, then it's the base height for that character/object. If it's 1.5, then it's 1.5 times as big as it would normally be. No real correlation between height and scale, at least not in an easily measurable way.

Question regarding height.
When the height says "1.00" for the scale, what does the equal in feet? 6'00? What would each decimal be, an inch? (Example: Nords would be 6'3", Altmer 6'8")

I would still play it, but the damn thing is so buggy that I can't even play it that much anymore >< So I've mostly gone back to Oblivion, though I would love to get a chance to actually play through Skyrim without it crashing 15 times over <_>

Shield/Heavy Armor mod..?
Anyone know of a mod that makes heavy armor and/or shields absorb more damage? Use mods for more realistic damage, but it doesn't change the armor at all really, so people in big steel plated armor die from 4-5 hits from a dagger, which makes no sense, and shields barely do anything, when those ...

How is it even pronounced? Is it only a written language or what? O.o
For example, how would "Dog" be pronounced? Just "Dog" or wat?

p-sto, I have a feeling your wives abusive mother is simply seeking attention, I doubt she actually wanted to go out with the guy but just did it out of spite and for attention. Still quite rude though.

Warhammer 40k: Dark Millenium?
Last I heard about it was back in December of 2012, it seems it was still in development because when asked about it THQ was very hushush (Which basically always means that they are working on it), however with THQ gone, does anyone know what happended to Warhammer 40k: Dark Millenium? Is Vigil just ...

Re: How is this possible...
I much rather like the Oblivion NPCs more. Sure they don't interact with the environment and repeat the same thing. But I find them more memorable, I liked walking around and seeing them converse with others no matter how random it was. In skyrim I really don't find any non guild NPC worth ...

Re: How is this possible...
I feel the "radiant AI" is a bit better in Oblivion also. Which is sad to say...People actually talk about normal things, like seeing a mudcrab or something, not randomly bringing up sweetrolls. In Skyrim I saw Ysolda repeat the same conversation 3 times -facepalm-

Re: How is this possible...
I consider myself a HUGE TES nerd just like most people on this forum, but I've actually only put in around 350 hours into Skyrim. Granted I play lots of other games, but Skyrim is not just a game to me, it's a story, it's way more than a game. And thus it's not something that I can just pick up ...

Re: The identity of Elder Scrolls and how it relates to ESO
Don't know if it's been mentioned on this thread yet, but I just stumbled across this . As far as I know, this is "breaking" news (as of the last few days). Looks like first person is going to be more like what I would call "N64-style" (by this I mean, used mainly for surveying areas, but not ...

Re: The identity of Elder Scrolls and how it relates to ESO
For crying out loud, they aren't even making first person an option.
Yes, they are. They are currently trying to figure out how to make your arms visible in first-person (currently as in "they told people playing the alpha a few weeks ago this"). Because it plays like Skyrim, you know, left and ...

Re: The identity of Elder Scrolls and how it relates to ESO
Honestly, they MMOified it too much. Which is dumb because looking at it from an MMO fans standpoint, there is nothing new. 99% of their playerbase is going to be TES fan based, but they cut out most the stuff that makes TES feel like TES. Freedom is all but gone, in more aspects then just ...

Re: The identity of Elder Scrolls and how it relates to ESO
To answer your question simply, Elder Scrolls world and lore make Elder Scrolls, not it's crime system or it's pretty houses, sure they add to it, but they do not make it.
See "Freedom", you really don't get the world, and the MMO takes place before the lore.

In Cyrodiil, the north end of it is all icey and frozen.
The entire bottom half of Skyrim is a nice fall/summer day. Even the northernmost frozen areas are barely frozen.
