Question regarding height.

Post by Frogmander »

When the height says "1.00" for the scale, what does the equal in feet? 6'00? What would each decimal be, an inch? (Example: Nords would be 6'3", Altmer 6'8")

Scale is scale, not height. If something's scale is 1.0, then it's the base height for that character/object. If it's 1.5, then it's 1.5 times as big as it would normally be. No real correlation between height and scale, at least not in an easily measurable way.

Then why aren't children 1.00 scale? Why isn't everything? The base for everything is 1.00, what race/gender they are changes that, making it rather obvious that the 1.00 scale is a measurement.

Read a scale of 1.00 as 100%. Its not a measurement, its a comparison of this object/unaltered base object.

Children are a scale of 1.00 just smaller. Think of a road map or any map, if it has a scale of 1-50 scale it means that 1inch = 50feet. If it has a scale of 1-1 or 1.00 it would be full size. it also doesn't matter if it's in metric or imperial units. If a child in Skyrim has a size scale of let's say of 2.0 they would then be twice their normal size (all around not just height). Canadian children are taught this in like grade 6 btw. Pay attention in algebra class in a couple of years, scale ratio is very useful when you get older
