So I'm working on a mod in which there will be a random encounter with an Adoring Fan type character (but considerably less annoying).
Now, to handle dialogue I'm leaning heavily on the player's dialogue choices to avoid the character having to actually say too much, limiting them mostly to only ...

Money Lenders of Skyrim
I was going to put this in the modding forum, as I'm thinking of making a quest that will tie in with a few money-lenders in Skyrim, but all I'm really looking for is some help in coming up with a list of money-lenders found in the vanilla game and official DLC. If this does belong in the modding ...

More Forgiving Guards?
I've looked for a mod like this several times, but perhaps I'm looking for the wrong terms. Basically what I would like is a mod that makes guards more forgiving of accidental hits while there's a combat going on. In particular during vampire and dragon attacks it's very annoying to receive a bounty ...

Stealth Oriented Mods?
Quite simply I'm hoping for some mod recommendations for stealth oriented characters.
Currently I'm trying Path of Shadows which stealths the Sneak perks and some stealth mechanics, and while these improvements are nice, I still feel that there's a lack of means of distraction for "pure" thief who ...

Critical Hit (Headshot, legs etc.) Mod
Okay, so now that I've finally freed myself of the shackles of the XBox 360 port of Skyrim, I'm finally able to mod the game the way I want; it's been a long time coming, but my gaming PC was badly in need of replacing first.
Anyway, one of the things I'd like to change, or rather add, is the ...

Re: Impressions of ESO
I forgot about the Skyshards, true. Although it's three Skyshards to one perk point, which isn't a brilliant return. Unless you can activate the same Skyshards over and over again once they respawn... PvP? Ugh! I don't like player-killing on principle and it kinda sucks that in order to have the ...

Re: The Holy Trinity?
I'm not sure I agree; there are simply loads of skills to choose from, and you could actually pick none of your class skills if you wanted to, and this gives a huge degree of customisation.
For example, a Dragon Knight can take spike armour or whatever it's called for an armour boost, but any ...

Re: Press and Player Experiences During the Beta
I posted more detailed thoughts in tatortodd22's impressions thread , but I've enjoyed the beta a great deal, certainly more than other MMOs I've tried. The story and setting are very much Elder Scrolls, I rarely found any quests boring or too repetitive, and didn't have to grind at any point ...

Re: Impressions of ESO
As a game design major, I would delight in nitpicking for various reasons and ways that ESO would be leagues better. The point is, though, that it is a game, and I had great fun playing it. If I don't run out of things to do? It may very well be worth the 15$ a month.

I didn't realise the NDA was lifted, in that case I'll share a few thoughts as well, rather than making a separate thread:
Graphics :
Graphically I'd say the game does a good job of getting close to Skyrim's level of quality, though stylistically it's not quite the same. It runs surprisingly well ...

Re: Will you buy The Elder Scrolls: Online?
It looks pretty good for an MMO, as Tamriel is a good setting, and they have a pretty good lineup for story including a bunch of good voice actors (I think everything is voiced?). In fact story wise it ought to be as good as Skyrim, especially since the three factions of the war have to be fleshed ...

Re: Fixing a Quest Item Issue on XBox 360
If you have a friend with PC Skyrim you could try giving them your save file to alter. However, I believe this would break the terms you agreed to when purchasing an Xbox and the game.
Hmm, I wasn't aware that something like this would be against the terms and conditions. I've used tools to export ...

Re: Lost/Dead Follower
I just wanted to note that I had the same issue on 360, where of course console commands aren't available; in my case I've found that if fast travelling doesn't work, then taking a carriage or boat somewhere does, bringing them right back beside you. I found the carriage/boat trick works best for ...

Fixing a Quest Item Issue on XBox 360
Okay so I'm doing the "Book of Love" quest and I'm at the final stage of it (reunite the two ghosts). Now, I've encountered every other bug in this insanely unreliable quest stage, but have run into the only issue I haven't experienced before; I've accidentally picked up an Amulet of Mara at some ...

I don't know what you mean here. I fought Mirmulniir on Master at level 14 or so, so quite low level, and the guards were like superheroes. :P
Level 14's still pretty high, I can't remember what level I was on but I'm pretty sure it was less than 10, and that was doing the barrow at Riverwood ...

I haven't voted in the poll because I haven't really played a game long enough since the newer levels of dragon were added, so I can't say what they're like.
However, from playing the main game several times, I have to say that Dragons are pretty weak at the start of the game at least. I've had far ...

Best Palladin/Vampire Hunter Type Build?
Okay, so I was trying to do the Dawnguard side of the Dawnguard main quest with my last character, but as usual got a bit out of control with my skill levelling, wasting perks etc. and basically gave up on it. I'm now planning to try again, but this time choosing my skills entirely around getting ...

Re: Some Magical Questions for a non magical character:
The blessed arrows for Auriel's bow ought to be able to take out runes since they have an area of effect? I haven't tried it but Auriel's bow is a great bow, it's just a long quest line to do just to get some exploding arrows. You can however pick up a crossbow and get some exploding bolts for it ...

Re: What Would You Change About Skyrim's Main Quest?
I recently played a Dunmer character and went to Windhelm expecting more, but there are hardly any differences in the way people treat you. The grey quarter hardly seem to care, while Suvaris Atheron still asked me if I hated dark elves for some reason. Rolf Stone-Fist doesn't initiate a brawl with ...

Re: How is your Skyrim married life?
My married life in Skyrim is dull, repetitive, and totally sexless. However the money from the shop doesn't go amiss, but it's only small comfort for the amount of stuff my spouse and steward have been knocking off all my shelves! What do those two do in there when I'm away…?

Re: Magic Cloaks?
I like runes for their ability to hurt draugr in coffins, but otherwise they're pretty pointless. They just don't scale in damage well enough, which I'd thought would be the big benefit of having the perk tree, so earlier spells remain competitive, but instead they get useless pretty quickly. It ...

Nords love to fight, be it mudcrab to bears and watching other nords test/beat each in combat would be a favorite past time of theirs.
Well, they did mention duels in the run up to release; as far as I can tell though the closest the game gets are the generic "Nord" and similar NPCs who insult you ...

Re: Is doing the other guilds worth it?
there is no answer to this topic that would apply to more than a single person on a single character. IMO there's no reason not to complete multiple guild story lines or as many miscelaneous quests as you can.
I think part of the problem is that no matter which guild you join you're "the chosen ...

I basically just kill any animals I see to take their pelts; except goats since you need two hides for one leather so it's not really worth it. A lot of locations like Karthwarsten have more than one mine, so you can get quite a lot of ingots; iron and silver are nice and easy and can get your ...

Re: Haters of the Thalmor.
The Thalmor would never attack the Greybeards anyway, the Greybeards are not exactly Talos worshipers.
True, but the real threat comes from the fact that they train others. It's not exactly clear whether Ulfric is an anomaly, as while I'm sure they require pupils to adhere to the Way of the Voice ...
