Question for the folks living in Germany: what are some cheap staples over there?

Goldbrand is just awesome, while the Glass blade is also very pleasing to the eye. But I'd go with Goldbrand, because if you use glass, It'll look way more common [since you can only get 1 goldbrand without using the console].

Haha, back in the morrowind days when I was still very active on this ...

About to get on a plane to Germany, gonna be there for four months, so I'm pretty excited about that! Gonna be spending my last semester of college over there.

It actually can make a difference. There are two big factors you may want to consider when buying an hdmi cable: category and length.

There are 2 categories for HDMI cables. Category 1 (referred to as 'standard') is only capable of transferring and image of up to 1080i / 720p in quality, so 1080p ...

I used to have a southern accent, then I went to middle school in Indiana. I can't even fake a southern accent anymore.

As you wish.

Why my new avatar? As the great Ricky Bobby once said "I like to go fast"

I always and forever recommend smithing for every single character that wears armor and/or uses a non-stave weapon. You can practically double your base damage, and dragonbone weapons are better than daedric anyway.

It is possible there could be some impact if it isn't 'on', but it would be incredibly, ludicrously small. Essentially all it would be doing is waiting for you to press shift+f12 to turn it back on, so the only reason you would notice anything at all is if you were already right on the knife's edge.

I'm not very clever with the names. I just pick something that somewhat resembles some aspect of my character. In this case I picked corvo because he does half magic half sword-play

Race: Redguard
Name: Corvo
Class?: Spellsword (destruction, restoration, one handed, light armor, speechcraft)
Story: He knows nothing about himself. He never knew his parents, and had to basically raise himself in the wilderness. Has been wandering around Tamriel trying to find out something about ...

Hooray for PC building! If I were you friend, I would check out reddit for some guidance. In particular, /r/buildapc and /r/buildapcforme . That first one will help you out quite a bit with research and give you feedback once you have an idea of what you want to get. The second one will give you a ...

I mean, they obviously won't be able to get everything, that'd be crazy. But they do manage to get most of the popular ones, and so it's at the very least a good launching point

If you want it for screenshots, go ahead and give it a try. Slow frames when you're just taking pictures isn't a terribly big deal, and the benefit you get is wonderful

Pro tip: imgur is a really quick and simple image sharer

I'm torn. I hate the whole 'oh, he just happened to walk through the place we put an ambush, might as well kill him' thing, but on the other hand Ulfric is a MASSIVE pile of excrement who I want to toss off the throat of the world. I slide just a bit to the empire.

Dawnguard every single time. Why?

• 1. The vampires are scumbags
  2. I'm usually a werewolf
  3. Dawnguard has huskies

But mostly that last one

I agree with Avron, though I should add that his popularity also is influenced by the fact that he's the first Jarl you see. And if you're like me and ignore any but the first house, probably the only one you see with any regularity.

I tend to change my avatar every time I come back for a week and then disappear once in a while, and now I've got the wonderful Simon and Marcy duo (dem feels)

Yeah, I went to see their show in Chicago a while back and it was a blast! They really know how to put on a performance!

Oh no, somebody who remembers! Quick, somebody dispose of him!

I think I could really start to like this thread! Also, dang Mauin, you have a good eye!

I posted this in the character thread, but I really like it:

An Old Nord's Last Adventure

Seranna all the way, she just has way more personality than any other follower, and on top of that she's actually useful in combat. Really, she's the reason I do the dawnguard quest line.

What with my new pc, I'm getting back into skyrim in a big way. Here's my current character:

Name: Fenrir
Race: Nord
Major Skills: Heavy Armor, Two-Handed, Smithing
Level: Currently 27, but rising fast

For this character I'm doing a mild bit of roleplay, as the name might imply. His story is that ...

So you're saying it's small and is really fast?
