NPC movement issue?

Post by Awesomebeast222 »

I would love to play Daggerfall more, but the AI are retarded. They keeping walking in place unless I get really close to them, even if I do that, they take a few steps before walking in place. And when they walk, they are usually spinning around.

I use DF on Dosbox, how do I fix this?

I can only suggest you reinstall. NPCS only usually have a trouble around door frames, not much else. :)

CPU cycles might be set too high in DOSBox, try changing the settings under [cpu] in dosbox.conf to this:
core=dynamic
cputype=auto
cycles=fixed 40000
cycleup=1000
cycledown=1000
Then go into a town and hit CTRL + F11/F12 repeatedly to decrease/increase cycles and see if it helps at all.
