Now what can be speculated as the relation between Solstheim, Telvanni, Herma Mora, Apocrypha, a restricted dragon riding zone, dwemer, an "elven helmet" header on quests, and the title Dragonborn.
A decent assumption IMO.
Ballista dwemer centurion could shoot a ballista... which is basically a spear shot from a giant crossbow (think car sized), and since I don't see that happening I think the centurion just has a spear.
For one odd reason or another I cant help but picture the Library of Apocrypha as anything but a series of dwemer codex cubes (which are among the files in the DLC)... so what I believe to be true.
A telvanni wizard tower (abandoned or not) has a dwemer puzzle cube (as you may recognize from Morrowind) that has some answer as to how the dwemer knew so much. (I think its a code to find books in the library, or at least a specific book that is needed for the main quest [since the books have blank covers]). The Library itself, I believe may also require the cubes as keys and may be guarded by the centurions. The chambers of the library might be big enough for an ancient dragon eh?

No, I've seen them in most of them. I also have used them twice.

I hope access to this library isn't just a one time gig for a quest. I'd love to slide in there and pick up randomized books on certain Elder Scrolls Lore whenever the Dovahkiin needs to take a breather from shrine raiding.

Re: Info on next DLC from latest patch
Its an interesting question. On the one hand, the place should be packed full of new lore.
On the other hand, I haven't read all of skyrim's books, but all of the ones I did were 10 pages or less (most being 3-5 pages)
Maybe they figure that the COD kids are done with the game and now is the time to hook up the fans with new stuff, but I'm not getting too primed until I see it

Yeah, the ones you activate with a lever. Now imagine one of them on a centurion. Either it will work on the steam centurions, or they are making an excuse for crossbows on sphere centurions for people who don't have DG.Hissien wrote:So I am the only one who already seen ballista traps in dwarven ruins?

well..if we'll be allowed to see herma's library realm, I hope to find some explanation about what happened to the dwemer....because its the great mistery of TES.

that would be pretty cool, though a book wouldn't do it as much justice.

Hey, does anyone know when the 1.8 patch that included DLC files in it will be out for Xbox 360?

Probably a week or two from now, it was released as a beta on steam for PC users. I didn't look like there were major modifictions, other than the groundwork that was laid for the next DLCR'Zahr wrote:Hey, does anyone know when the 1.8 patch that included DLC files in it will be out for Xbox 360?

Re: Info on next DLC from latest patch
We first learned of Dawnguard info from patch 1.5.26 in late April. It was officially announced May 1. It was released June 26. So, if that timeline holds, expect an announcement in the next few days and the actual DLC in a month, month and a half.Vahrukiv wrote:so taken from past experiences, how long (in your guess) until they officially announce it?
edit- well, closer to two months, I guess.

I imagine that that will be a game in itself really. Maybe a go back in time type of jazz? I think they have the "spacing" figured out really well to be fair, I mean just before DG came out I had gotten a bit (dont be too angry!) bored of Skyrim and it's the same again now, I'm playing it these days because I feel that I "should" be playing it, if that makes sence? I've actually started to play Morrowind again so I'm quite pleased that the new DLC is suggested to be in Soltsheim(If it's spelt incorrectly tough

Re: Info on next DLC from latest patch
I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I feel that it is very possible the plot of this DLC will have something to do with the Thalmor and Herma Mora turning men (the Skaal perhaps?) into Mer, ala the old Ysgramor tale. Look at those quest brackets! Those are tentacles coming out of an Aldmeri helmet.

All I hope is there is reference to the books. Or any places that they visited (if in Solstheim) in the novels. I'd love that.

I don't understand why people don't want to go back to Solsthiem because "It's too soon!", but they want to go to Cyrodiil?!? How is nine years too soon for that? Also, I want dragon mounts to be a one time event or a boss battle type deal like Eragon.

Re: Info on next DLC from latest patch
The dragon mount thing isn't necessarily the cringe inducing lore violation some people make it out to be.
The First PGE mentions the Akaviri Dragonknights who tried invading Tamriel had Red Dragon cavalry, which is where the Imperial Legion banner of the red dragon came from.

Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

I dont mind the Dragon Riding, even if it is any time you want to. I am not forced to do it, why should people who do want to ride dragons have it only happen one time when we ourselves do not actually have to do so?

Correction... it is Cyrodiil done properly.Duderino Abides wrote:Most of Falkreath Hold is practically Cyrodiil anyway.Imperfect Three wrote:I don't understand why people don't want to go back to Solsthiem because "It's too soon!", but they want to go to Cyrodiil?!? As far as the too soon stuff is concerned... It has been ~230 ingame years... A lot has changed... but if they drastically change the landscape I might be frustrated. Keep in mind, the player looted all of the crypts in Morrowind, so what loot is there for the player now? That is the only thing that may upset me.
