Again, yes, that's not racism. however, it is a clear unequal distribution of resources. I don't expect the Stormcloaks to fix that problem. And I won't go into all the socialist revolution etc etc, as I don't think anyone wants to hear it.GoatLiver wrote: Right-Hand-Of-Sithis, firstly welcome and nice survey answersSecond the rank of Unblooded I gave you was mostly based off of you not being 100% sure what side you were with and also chronologically trying to get at least 1 person in every rank. I am happy to change anyone's rank to whatever they want with the exception of Stormblade - if you do decide you want that rank I will grant it but I do expect you to help me run and maintain this thread/club. If anyone wants a different rank let me know here or in a PM
I think a large part of the Imperial force is located in Solitude and while they seem less directly racist, there is a clear gap in class between the rich and the poor that is most evident in Solitude. Even a gap between Solitude and the rest of Skyrim too. I think while not being racist based on race, the citizens of Solitude are unkind and discriminatory to the poor. The begger in Solitude tells you at the wedding he is happy no-one has tried to arrest him and he as got food for the first time in a month. Mean while in Riften (Stormcloak territory) there is the guy that own the fishing business who is often giving handouts to the poor.Right-Hand-Of-Sithis wrote:I'm going to give this a leftist spin. Hope nobody minds.
Racism is a tool used by the ruling class to divide the people and stop them from raising in arms against them.
Albeit, I suppose the Stormcloaks are the ones waging the class war (Nordic Aristocracy v Imperial Aristocracy), and there is no evidence the Imperials are overly racist.
I also think it is worth noting that there is no evidence that the Stormcloaks, as a political faction, explicitly endorse racism. Riften and Dawnstar aren't racist.
Also, if by help you run this thread, do you mean participate and start conversation? I can do that, as long as the conversation is interesting.
In fact, I have a few topic for conversation now if you are interested, for example:
1. What should be our (Stormclaoks) next move following the revolution?
2. What is the best way to combat the Thalmor?
3. Should we endorse magic?
