anyone know what, if anything, the apiary does? It comes with 5 bees and one honey. I've tried adding flowers, removing bees, removing honey, nothing changes. Even just for RPing, that's pretty dull.

Re: Hearthfire Discussion
you can put the fish you get as alchemy and slaughterfish eggs in it. They do reproduce, not that it matters much though.Duderino Abides wrote:I can't figure out what the fish hatchery in the Hjaalmarch house does either.Nanigoat wrote:anyone know what, if anything, the apiary does? Re: Hearthfire Discussion
Does anyone know how to purchase animals such as cows for my animal pen in the pale. Also I'm curious if you ask Carlotta Valentia to marry you, do you automatically adopt her daughter?
Also is anyone else kinda sad that they don't let you adopt non human children. I would have loved to adopt a lil argonian or khajiit. or even an elf. Right now I am an Argonian married to a nord with two nord children.

your steward supplies animals via the improve your home dialogue. You can buy 1 horse for the stable, 1 cow and 4 chickens. I don'tunderstand why are there no pigs in Skyrim?

Probably because when the nords learned how to make bacon they went on a feeding frenzy making pigs extinct in skyrim. :p

I hate being a single mother on one of my files. Also one of my kids Alesan is glitche to where I cannot give him any gifts, which I feel bad about since I always give Sofie a new dress or a dagger.

I read a comment on a game blog site that said "Hearthfire is so bugged that it makes Skyrim unplayable."
I wasn't entirely kidding in the What could come after Hearthfire thread when I said "patches".

I don't know what people mean when they say things like this. Similar things were said about Dawnguard, I have both the DLC and have been happily playing regularly the whole time.Evil-i wrote:I read a comment on a game blog site that said "Hearthfire is so bugged that it makes Skyrim unplayable."

Re: Hearthfire Discussion
Why can't I get Alesan to move into my house?
I adopt him and he just forever stands in one place saying "let me get my things and say goodbye to everyone"

You have to return to your house and he'll be there.

Nope, he won't. I returned to my house, he wasn't there. So I waited 24 hours, he didn't show up. I went back to dawnstar, and sure enough, he hadn't movedNevastar wrote:You have to return to your house and he'll be there.

I'd like the ability to change the rooms once you made them and furnished them. I wanna see what storage room looks like. Oh and yeah this thing is so glitched.

Did anyone get the Red Robes from thier kids yet? I have and I thought it was awesome that Hroar gave me something worthy of my attention, instead of giving me something useless like I expected he would.

I scolded Runa and Alesan for arguing now they're acting like I beat them and their mother or something. They won't talk!

Re: Hearthfire Discussion
It's hardly a slight imperfection in this case, if this person is to be believed. According to what he/she posted, Breezehome was the only owned home when Hearthfire was installed. Immediately after that, Breezehome bugged out. A bunch of stuff, including unique in-game items, disappeared from various storage containers. I haven't heard of this happening to anyone else, and it might be possible that Hearthfire isn't to blame in this case. But you have to admit that it's turning out to be a five-star bug fest.0siris wrote:I don't know what people mean when they say things like this. Re: Hearthfire Discussion
So if you give your kids gifts they'll give you the cool coloured robes that are only available through the console? AMAZING I've always wanted those for myself, time to adopt some kids and give them 1000 gold allowances. If they bring me those robes they will be rewarded well. I didn't realize that they did anything useful, oh Bethesda you sneaky SOBs...

Re: Hearthfire Discussion
I give it 4 stars... 5 stars is when the house of horrors happens like Oblivion, someone died in a doorway and they became a possessed Mr Fantastic banging their flailing 20ft arms and necks around and knocking down everything. You move and you game doesnt crash, your existence in the game causes the physics to break down. Dead dragons fly backwards and are invincible.Evil-i wrote:It's hardly a slight imperfection in this case, if this person is to be believed. 4 stars is a hole in the game that crashes it. Or a freeze.
3- A hole in a loading zone that you walk through and you teleport to the beginning. A dragon "crashes" and teleports to a different crash site.
2- Voices and lips dont move together. People walk backwards. Excessive loading, pausing, loading. A cutscene event has a small error.
1- A giant falls awkwardly from the ragdoll effect. Butterflies phase through eachother and the environment.
0- A known omitting of real life physics- no footprints, snow doesnt accumulate, weather phases through solid objects.
That which defines you will prove to be your undoingDark Spark wrote:They are not instruments of justice nor vengeance. They're target practice.
