Re: Dawnguard.
Is it true that when U install Dawnguard, NPCs will randomly start dieing in towns because of the new vampires or something like that... Like if U fast travel to any town there will B some dead NPCs as soons as U get there. If that is true then i'm gonna' have to race thru the damn add-on so quest related NPCs won't get killed...

But to answer the question, yes vampires will attack citys every once in a while and possibly kill some NPCs.NV_Enclave_Remnant wrote:Is it true that when you install the Dawnguard downloadable content, NPCs will be killed due to random vampire attacks in towns? Will I have a chance to kill the vampires? Instead of just finding dead NPCs...

Of course, they dont spawn until you are in the town. But be careful, NPCs will fight the vampires.NV_Enclave_Remnant wrote:Will I have a chance to kill the vampires? Instead of just finding dead NPCs...

By the Nine! I swear, if Bethesda holds Dawnguard from us PC and PS3 players for too much longer (or doesn't give it to us at all...) I will make a mod where you must kill likenesses of Bethesda's staff in order to retrieve a potentially dangerous book, "Guarding the Dawn," from some dungeon.

It just seems ridiculous we've heard nothing. I'd be satisfied if they simply said "Hey, guys, we're having a hard time getting this to work right on the PC. Give us a couple more weeks."

Why, Bethesda, why?! Why must we wait?
Just as I was starting to get excited, Bethesda comes along and knocks me over. And everyone else. Blasts. They could, at the very least, have the decency to inform the legions of waiting fans what might be wrong.

the new weapons and armor get 9/10 but the plot is anti-climactic, tho the side quests are fun

Re: Dawnguard.
I'd give it 9/10. It's overpriced, should be 1200. Has a brilliant side quest in it.
I agree it's wrong to keep you guys waiting. Especially the PC players. Here's to hoping you get it in the next couple of weeks!

Re: Dawnguard.
Why is wrong to keep the PC players waiting. I may be biased as a PS3 user but PC user get mods and patch betas, XBox users get early DLC and patches, meanwhile PS3 users get lag that destroys games, patches released over a month after the other platforms and more bugs PC and XBox combined (I am exaggerating). I may sound like I am complaining but I am simply pointing out that PS3 deserves Dawnguard just as much as PC, maybe even more. I have nothing against XBox users because Microsoft paid for it fair and square but we were told to wait a month and it has been a month and we have been given no new information.drumgodrob wrote: I agree it's wrong to keep you guys waiting. Actually I believe they said at LEAST a month. That is all the time Microsoft bought as far as I know. Now I believe they are just stalling, kinda sucks to be you lot.

Re: Dawnguard.
To rate... DG is about the equivalent of KotN. Except with a choice to side with either the vamps or the slayers. So if you like a lore stuffed ravioli that is kinda medium sized (I beat it in 15 hours on the first go (stealth character), 11 the second(warrior)) then you will like it. There are a lot of cool and awe inspiring places and things, but the plot of the actual story is a little straightforward and the end of the story is meh, but the journey is by FAR the best of any questline in the game. The side quests are a lot of fun and you get some seriously good equipment. The Armor is a 10 by comparison to the rest of the game because even though the DG only get a heavy and a light armor, it comes in different colors! Like a lot of quests in this game, it loses its WOW factor the second playthrough, but I know I missed a few things that definitely will be worth going back for. Not to mention the most dynamic follower in the game...

seriously though, high expectations are going to wreck this for anyone - which would be a shame cos its pretty good (it compares with KoTN in scope but i think it has the edge over kotn) and for lore lovers has some very nice bits about snow elves and falmer (and therefore dwemer - for me Skyrim has really been about following up on my dwarf lore after morrowind got me interested)
i also found some of the new radiant and side quests a load of fun, my main meh-ness was centred around not being that into vampires and 3rd person monster views of my character, but i am still glad i got it

Re: Dawnguard.
OK... The waits been killing me. Im only gonna get it for PC when it comes... But why would he even say they don't know if it will be out for other consoles microsoft only bought extra time with the release.
So... I think its gonna be a LONNNG wait if they havnt even decided wether to release it for PC and Ps3.. I was looking foreword to this.
Way to let us down Beth. 2 weeks, even 1 week more is too long.

Re: Dawnguard.
I would rate DG nearly as "big" as Shivering Isles, as there is a lot in there, scattered about. To me it feels bigger than KotN.
OK, it has nothing on a par with Sheogorath. And yes, that is an unfair comparison.
Sorry to all you without DG this late in the game - as it were. Yet after all the joy Bethesda has brought to me over the years, their reserve of good will is huge. Just lower your alien blaster and dwarven crossbow and pick some flowers. It's going to be OK. Really.
