How interesting. Tell me about your experiences with all these drugs you are making sweeping generalizations and hardcore arguments about.

Would've captioned that in a Willy Wonka pic, but cba.

the fact is pot gets people killed every day. the "supply and demand" trade has victims. just ask the countless victims of the mexican drug cartels who kill and rape innocent men, women and children every day to "supply" their customers. we like to turn a blind eye to all the collateral damage our "habits" cause and impose but its very real to those who have lost loved ones. that joint was probably paid for in blood [censored], I mean dude ...

Ragnorok, instead of making baseless statements, why not cite your sources? Or have you done no actual research?

EDIT: Drug cartels are deadly, yes. But how exactly does that make the drug deadly? The drug itself is just a product. The real criminal is clearly the guy in the white suit trying to get you hooked.

Yeah, that is totally caused by the drugs themselves.

Smoke a joint? A cartel assassin will be alerted to your position BAM YOU'RE DEAD NO TIME TO REACT!

what hard facts about these drugs are they "hiding"?

if someone wants to learn the effects, go out a smoke a j.

wanna learn the long term effects? smoke a j everyday for a while.

It's not like the gov knows something about the effects that everyone else doesn't know.
except maybe how the hell it gets here somehow unnoticed so while illegal, is steadily available almost everywhere?
Or you could just be waiting on the government to make webmd a liittle bit clearer for you?
That's just it. Everyone already knows the effects, but the government has yet to announce it to everyone, and give actual facts, not just "facts" that make it convenient for them to keep it illegal.

ask Dr. Drew Pinsky if pot is addictive or not. he treats pot addicts regularly. pot is one of the most addictive substances, psychologically. just because there are no physical addiction or physical withdrawal symptoms doesn't mean its not psychologically addictive and dependance forming.

Everything can become dependance-forming if you let it, or if you have an addictive personality. It just comes down to the person using it.

Pot is not addictive! If it was, I would have been in rehab back in January when I decided to stop smoking. Seriously man, you cannot place pot and some hallucinogens under the same place as cocaine, alchohol, meth, crack...drugs that DO stick to your body and have been scientifically proven to make your body crave them. You can stop smoking weed if you set your mind to it by saying ok, that was the last of it. You don't get the physical symptoms of withdrawal that you do with other drugs, maybe a bit of hacking, that is it.

No, weed has not been proven by science to be addictive like the substances I mentioned above.

I called him, he said pot wasn't addictive. He also said he's never heard of you, but showing the kind of man Dr. Drew Pinsky is, he's invited you over to smoke some pot tonight, what should I tell him?

missing the point doros. if its illegal, then what is the imperative to do something you know could potentially ruin your life?

no logic to be found there. makes no sense. if it weren't addictive people wouldn't make up all these stupid excuses trying to justify and rationalize it.

So, to you, might makes right? Powerful coercive entity threatens you with harm if you act against it's wishes; ensuing aggression ruins your life, you've only got yourself to blame. Am I understanding your position correctly?

DorostheConqueror...you are misunderstanding me. I should stop right here...
Famous last words...
Drugs make people do bad [&@%!] because it clouds their judgement. Can't argue with that.
I can, and I will. Who says drugs make people do bad ampersand-at-percent-exclamationmark? When we're talking about sweeping policy and a huge class of wildly varied substances, anecdotal evidence just isn't very convincing. The vast majority of my anecdotal evidence is pretty benign. And even if we are to believe that drugs make people act "irrationally", who's to say that's necessarily a bad thing? Truly rational actions are, after all, often pretty dicky (why would I want to donate to charity, from a strictly rational standpoint?). Plus, you can't overstate the importance of a good lapse of judgement now and then; alcohol, for example, has probably resulted in more marriages, relationships, and pregnancies than any other factor in the history of mankind. Speed fuels America's grad schools, opium gave us all the literature worth reading from the Victorian era, and what would a rave be with E? Oh no! Removing inhibitions and letting strung-out people relax is SOOOOO BAD, better ban drugs and throw the junkies in the klink!

no, the real criminal is the one supplying the "demand" in the "supply and demand" equation. if there was no demand, there would be no traffic, no business and no victims, so considering the countless victims the war on drugs has left in its wake, the bloodshed, murder and suffering, its kinda hard to come up with a legit excuse to justify or rationalize your demand for something you know is harmful, illegal and is likely getting people killed for your indulgence. everything else is just @$^* on a shingle, weak excuses, justifications and rationlizations. go look at the dead bodies and tell me how "harmless" your "recreational drug use" is. BULL! YOU are getting people killed YOU are putting innocents in the line of fire and in harm's way. YOUR selfishness, shortsighted, inconsideration for the real eefects of your actiions. at least man up and admit to being murderers!

I think there's some rule about trolling. I'm not saying someone can't be against drugs and have a reasonable position backed up by rational thinking, but... seriously, dude. You've made me lose interest in putting people down and attacking their arguments - now I just feel bad for you. After every post you've made, several people have gone through point-by-point and shown how you're demonstrably wrong, and rather than modify your views or respond with an explanation, you just move onto another flawed, crazed idea. I'm embarrassed for you.

Stop whining and petition for legalization, Ragnarok.

Or rather, stop trying to...whatever you're trying to do. I'm not even sure at this point.

Once again, you wish unspeakable acts of violence upon an innocent child you don't even know... yet drugs are just way out of your moral compass.
