I corrected your mistake, because good sense is not as common as it should be.
Three can play at that game...

But now we're just going off topic

The guy who played him also played Haskill in Shivering Isles, and Desmond in Point Lookout for Fallout 3.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

One could always just attribute the difference in voices to the raspy voices being cause by the ash from Red Mountain. No ash in Oblivion=no raspy voice?

At least the voice acting as a whole is much better than Oblivion. (Apart from Terrence Stamp, Patrick Stewart, and Sean Bean, obviously. I mean the common voices.) In Skyrim's case, though, the voice acting for Farengar Secret-Fire may be the worst i've ever heard.

No way , the worst voice acting is when a female guard says :''No Lollygaggin ..''

I actually thought he was very compelling. Same with the Machiavellian Thonar Silver-Blood, who shared the same voice. On a criminal it's very unassuming, far from cliche. And with Farengar the actor did a good job of portraying him as just wanting to be left alone. That's just me.

I suppose so, with him being a mage and all... I just think it sounds far too flat and uninteresting.

I'm actually very annoyed that Dawnguard was released a month earlier on Xbox than PS3. I'm a PS3 player, and I won't be able to get Dawnguard after August (I'm going Poland for the summer holiday.) and even then I'm getting a dedicated gaming PC which I plan to play Skyrim on. So it might be months untill I get Dawnguard :(
