What would you change about Oblivion?
Firstly I would liek to say that Oblivion is most probably the best game I have ever played. But after playing it for quite a while I think you can find small faults and things you would want to change. A few things that I would change are:
1) Should be a warning about storage places respawning. The only reason I found out about that was after reading on here and I had already lost the Staff of Corruption by then.
2) A better way of buying and selling so that you get a better deal than 1200 gold. I know that it can go up when your Mercantile skill goes up but I'm sure there are other ways.
3) Some of the things that NPC's say is a bit unrealistic at times. Can be funny though of course.
4) Maybe some family member for your character, depenind on race etc. Just a quick thought.
The last thing I have time to say before the end of lunch is that I really want another official expansion pack for the 360!!! I've nearly finished the Shivering Isles and although you can obviously carry on playing it's not the same when the main quests are over.

Don't want to be guilty of necroposting on the other thread, but at the same time, would like to contribute to this topic...
What I'd like to see: (and yes, there may be mods, but I mean officially, or in the next incarnation of Elder Scrolls)
Dual Wielding (as a Skill) - would govern how fast your other hand is, damage dealt, etc.
Customizable crests on shields, armor, and banners in homes (basically, you'd have a menu of fields, colors, and elements such as lions, drakes, etc. and create your own in that menu, then it's applied to those objects).
Additional dialogue options when you "sit" down with other NPCs at a tavern, guildhouse, etc. (make a reason for sitting)
Not have hitting your horse count as an assault or hitting a guildmate.
More types of armor (from angelic to demonic, to just plain weird, and more colors and designs).
Little guys (Halflings, Gnomes, Fairies, etc. as playable races)
Dragonmen (as a playable race)
Flight (mounted, spell, or racial ability) - similar mechanics as swimming
Levitation (spell, item, etc.) Great for archers or casters
Disguise (Skill) to get the guards off your tail, etc.
Have bookshelves recognize books, and auto-organize/display on bookshelves (instead of trying to place them by hand, more like containers), same with wine racks recognizing wine, weapon racks recognizing weapons.
Ability to dye clothes in different colors, so you can change the color of clothing that otherwise suits the look you're going for, but isn't the right color.

In response to Caldyn_Blade, firstly I had the same problem, wanted to discuss the subject but there is often someone wanting to throw some kind of rule book at you.
I like the idea of flying, not sure how it would work though as you would avoid all creatures that way, unless there were flying ones of course. I guess it could use up your magika or something so that you can't do it all the time. Maybe some items could allow you to do it too and for longer periods.
Not sure about the dual weilding though, would mean you can't block and would turn the fight into a mad frenzy. Could always be a way though.
Definately would like more dialogue options when in an Inn etc. To be honest I don't think I've ever sat on anything. I do somethings for role play but I wouldnt just sit in a pub and look at someone for a couple of mins so I won't do it in the game either. Maybe you could play mini games with them. Pub games basically. Could win money doing it and build up your personality and popularity with the NPCs.
Would be cool to create your own crest too

Should definitely be other flying creatures (levelled of course).I like the idea of flying, not sure how it would work though as you would avoid all creatures that way, unless there were flying ones of course. If a spell or potion, duration would be a factor, plus, there'd be a flight ceiling I'd imagine, and fatigue could come into play if a natural flying race.
You could still block, they'd just have to make it a different key used for it, such as the grab function while in combat mode. Not sure about the dual weilding though, would mean you can't block and would turn the fight into a mad frenzy. Could always be a way though.

Well I want them to bring another expansion out quick time as I'm nearly done with SI now and I'm just taking my time with it so that I don't finish it just yet.
I've only had a look at enchanting once but as you use a soul gem for it, even with a powerful one it seemed that the enchanted armour/weapon that would result from it wouldn't be all that. Is that wrong?

The flying would rock! My idea of how it could work is you hit a certain button, then you just control it like the flying things from the first Halo game.Angelmaker wrote:In response to Caldyn_Blade, firstly I had the same problem, wanted to discuss the subject but there is often someone wanting to throw some kind of rule book at you.
