I've seen them live, they were absolutely amazing. I almost decided to give up guitar out of sheer despair. The highlight was them playing Wish You Were Here and every single person in the tent singing along. Magic.

On the subject of insanely good folk musicians...

I probably listened to that at least 5 times at work the other night. In fact, because you've mentioned it, gonna go listen again. YYZ is my favorite, though.

I read that on 4th of july they played with John Mayer (say what you want of him but i think his trio blues band is good) and Robert Randolph and the Family Band.

When/where did you see them? Thats awesome, im gonna see them whenever i get the opportunity. Did they do any other covers? Their stairway cover is beautiful.

It was at Latitude last year, I went to watch them headlining the second stage because the main headliners (The Good The Bad And The Queen) were gash. They did loads of covers - WYWH, Stairway, loads of other classic rock/metal stuff...

All of this; Radiohead live
Of course, that link might not work in 12hrs or so, but it remains the only Stage6 link in a midst of ugly YouTube's... the vid itself eventually goes out of audio sync, but it still includes a live version of Kid A, which is the first time I've actually seen/heard.

I've seen them play it live :P The first time I saw them they were definitely in a weird mood - they played Kid A, Fog and quite a few other strange ones, no Lucky, No Surprises or Karma Police... But still an absolutely amazing gig.

I feel a bit sorry for Ed in Kid A live though, there's no guitar or backing vocals in it so he literally has nothing to do, when I saw them play it he just lit a fag and had a chat with the guitar tech while the other four played it.

In the above linked version he adds a little much needed ambience. Ignoring the fact that we might turn this into another 'head-themed website (lord knows there's enough already.. ); they do it (KidA) justice live, which is a pretty darn impressive thing to be able to pull off.

I also saw Mr Yorke refer to them recording a bad version of Fog - I assumed he was talking about the piano version, and not the studio band-take; because studio-Fog is perfect in almost every conceivable way..

And personally? I like them skipping most of Ok, because so much that came after is so good - and, literally, how many times can you want to hear those same tracks replayed live? Although fitting in a Tourist, Paranoid, and maybe a Subterranean Homesick wouldn't do any harm.

Well of course they played Paranoid Android... although they didn't the second time I saw them. I suppose they've been playing it at every gig they've done since 1996, they're probably getting a bit bored of it by now.

The live Fog I saw was just Thom on the Rhodes and singing, the whole place was completely silent apart from a ripple of applause about 20 seconds into it when people started to work out what song it was.

I've been warned about the blood by several people, but for me that's just one more reason to go and see it :Twisted Evil:

Well, that makes 3 people here who are seeing Radiohead this year.
Me, leroybrown and r are now officially the three best people on this website. Thus, I think it calls for a barely used emoticon; 8)

This evenin', I 'ave been mostly listening to... In Limbo [live version with added delayed/reverby Jonnie].
