See, there is a problem there, because when someone has a bit of drugs, they will want more and more then BOOM, addiction.
Absolutely not. Addiction is a mental thing, but you certainly have the ability to rise above it. It's why not everyone that drinks is an alcoholic, and why people who have tried, say, marijuana once don't necessarily smoke it all day long forever after that.
Yes it is a mental thing, but that does not make my point any less true. I never said you could not rise above it. I do believe in casual smokers, but you can not create a law that will only allow it casually. It will not work unless you monitor their usage like they are a child.

A death sentence for hurting animals is going a bit too far. People at slaughter houses would be charged with death thousands of times over.
That there is just stupid. Those animals are being killed for food. As cruel as these institutions may be, it's for food, not for enjoyment or out of idiocy.

Same here.

Marrriage isn't always a religious ceremony. Sometimes it is secular and other times it is part of a certain religion. No Religion has the right to force its own view on others.

Marriage is a religious ceremony, and most gays are nonreligious anyway. I see no point. It does not benefit them in any way.
I see gays who want to get married as people who want to show off gay as a status symbol.
It also happens to be the institution through which your love is legally recognised and your partner is granted legal protection and benefits. And what about the same sex couples that are indeed religious? hardly seems fair on them.
I just see no point in it. You can have your gay partner all you want, I don't care, but what makes it any different by getting married?

I think people are mistaking what I said about taking away people's right to a happy life the wrong way. I meant that no one should have the right to take away other people's rights, not that we should kill people for hurting animals. =/

I fail to see your point. Gay marriage is conducted by the state.

How about using proper arguments so that people don't think you're an idiot? Believe me, it works.

Because, to us, it is a religious ceremony. You say you are not religious but that does not mean that there are no people that are religious.

YOU GUYS MISUNDERSTAND ME.

What I meant = Nobody has the right to take away someone else's right to be happy unless it's affecting someone else. Examples: Gay Marriage, Drug/Alcohol Use, Gambling, Prostitution (so long as it's safe, which I know is an oxymoron)

What you got = Death sentence for hurting animals.

NOT THE SAME

But if the government and the church are two separate entities, that will never be a good reason to ban it.

@mars
And I am not forcing, I just see no point in it for nonreligious people.
Marriage conducted by the state isn't a religious ceremony.

Seperation of state and church. Also what if you are part of a religion that is cool with same sex relationships? Why shouldn't they have the right to this "religious" ceremony?
