It's helped me every time. Except the time that amazing dragon was flying backwards and reloading a saved game didn't help. Doesn't matter, they'll always be beautiful in my eyes  .

...when you're surprised to find that random plants and foods around your home do not, in fact, combine to make potions, or even decent soup.

...when you commit a crime then run from the local law enforcement to find a Thieves Guild rep who can erase your criminal record.

...when your exclamation of surprise is not "Oh my God!" or "Jesus!", but instead "By the Nines!"

...when you buy a heap of random items from a shopkeeper to make sure he has enough money to buy your clutter.

...when you first visit a new city, you don't ask where the pub or supermarket is, but where the guild halls and general merchant are.

When you can point to, with about 95% accuracy, various random locations on the Skyrim Map on your friends save that he hasn't found yet. He got a quest and was told to go to a certain cave, and asked me if I knew where it was. I told him to pull up his map, and I placed a quest marker at the location, and sure enough it was just about in that spot.

  • You eat a diamond in an attempt to turn invisible. And it works.
  • You fish by swimming around and punching the fish to death with your bare hands
  • You actually take an arrow to the knee.
  • You use the same phrases over and over again in different conversations.
  • You've assassinated someone by taunting them into attacking you, then killing them in self defense.
  • All the books in your library are only 10-20 pages long.
  • You try to sell junk to the manager at your local grocery store.
  • Your iPod plays Jeremy Soule music on speakers and you change the music before getting into fights.
  • You freak out whenever you hear the word "Halt"
  • You never use the bathroom because no one's ever done it in an Elder Scrolls game.
  • You start shooting people in a public area, and are surprised that the cops shoot back without trying to arrest you first.
  • You post 12 consecutive signs that you play The Elder Scrolls too much.
This is a signature.
