I'd be like "Was the end of Inception a dream or reality!?!?!? 0_0"
Or something like that.

I would ask him if he really cared if anyone worshiped him or not. Although I imagine any answer he gave would be cryptic as hell.

You're completely missing the point of what that soliloquy is meant to mean. Basically, you're asking god if he's cool with you topping yourself.Frogmander wrote: Edit: Id ask him to be or not to be, THAT is the question...i would ask him.

I think that's a fair debate; What would an omnipotent being's stance on suicide be?

I'd ask him to help me understand the fact that he's always been here and always will be.

If my being, both physical and mental, was advanced enough to "meet" God, I think I'd be long past needing to ask questions to know something.

I would how HE was created... Like when did it all begin and... Does it ever end. I am a fan of Neil Donald Walsh and in one of his books when we die we just rinse and repeat not exactly renicaration. But a varyent.

I'm an atheist, so first of all I'd be surprised as hell.
And second of all I think that if anything that could be called "god" actually exists antropomorphising it makes about as much sense as antropomorphising gravity, so I might as well skip the questions.

Re: If you met God, what would you ask him?
Gotcha. But since there has been about five bazzillion ideas throughout the history about what that monotheistic God is I think that my point stands. Just because we're talking about "the one true God" it doesn't mean he's an elderly gentleman with a long white beard we could have a nice chat with. That would actually surprise me more than there being God in the first place.

The God of the Bible is usualy desribed as a being of light so bright that you can't look at him.

Re: If you met God, what would you ask him?
As a athiest, i would only have two questions for him.
1. Why would you create us, even though suffering still exsist?
2. Why cant you heal amputees?

Id probably be more then surprised and taken off guard, but hopefully i'd find it in me to ask him for the opportunity to achieve my dreams...yet at the same time, id feel greedy treating him like a genie whos to grant me a wish >.<....but i supose regardless it couldnt be all bad eh?

My point exactly. How do you have a conversation with a being of light?n810 wrote:The God of the Bible is usualy desribed as a being of light so bright that you can't look at him.
Anyways... Sorry, didn't mean to spoil the fun, I'm being very argumentative tonight for some reason.
I'll shut up now...

Re: If you met God, what would you ask him?
This coming from a athiest point of view, for if there was a god(s). Is that either he enjoys seeing the death of many or just doesnt care for his creatures anymore, or that there isnt one deity but more than one with a endless debate on wether or not to intervene.Dean wrote:This would be my question for God or the Gods(depends on which faith they are from):
"Millions die in your name, yet you do nothing to prevent it. If your so benevolent and powerful you would stop it, instead the blood of so many is on your hands. All it would take is for you to show yourself, but the death of innocent children and more seems to be acceptable to you. So tell me, what are you even good for? because from where I'm standing all you do is, be it by your hand or those who worship you, extinguish the life you gave".

What's the craic?
That is all.
Also as a side note i'm agnostic but I think a pantheon of flawed gods is far more likely than just one perfect god.

I would punch him in the face for creating such a messed up race of self-destructive beings.

I would... ask why he hasn't flooded the world a second time because of this horrible race that he created.

Re: If you met God, what would you ask him?
I'd ask him if he could expslai to pepole that free will = he has no control of the matter. while he could he choices not to, may suck for us but it's a pretyy good stand point, not forcing others to do what you want, I can respect that.
