For all Assassin and Thief roleplayers

Post by Assassin540 »

This is a place for people who are assassin and or thief roleplayers in TES and would like to share their characters, screenshots, ideas or just have a discussion about of course assassin and or thief roleplaying :). The point of the forum is for like minded people who play TES game's to share their thought's and talk about their character's, their characters travels and anything else that has to do with assassin or thief roleplaying the reason I started it is because I really like the assassin and thief aspect of these games and I like to roleplay my assassins and thieves so I like to talk to other people who also roleplay as assassins and or thieves like I do and so other people can also come here and socialize with people who also roleplay as assassins and thieves.

Backstory
Spoiler:
History:Valund grew up in a small Forsworn village in the Reach with his father Tyron who was a Reachman and Valund's mother was unknown to him all he knew is that she was a Nord and you could tell where Valund got his looks obviously his mothers side and for some reason he had a Nord name but anyway Valund's father was very hard and stern with him teaching him how to use a knife at 3 and a bow at 5 and hunting by 6 he was a typical Reach boy for the most part he hunted and worshiped the old gods he was taught to be a very good hunter his father was one of the best in the village so he learned from the best the only thing was he was taller than all the other kids in the village but oneday something terrible happened when he was 10 years old there was a raid on his village by Imperials he hid under the bed and waited until it was over then came out when he came out he found everyone in the village was dead including his father so the only thing he could do was wait he waited and waited at his village hunting and gathering by himself until after about 5 months an old Nord man saying he was his grandfather approached him and took him on his horse.

When he awoke he was in a shack with his grandfather standing over him he didn't like it at first but he came to love his grandfather. His Grandfather taught him and how to hunt with a bow how to skin an animal and how to forge weapons, and taught him about Sithis and the Void. He loved his Grandfather he was loving and caring. But oneday when Valund was 12 years old he came back from gathering to find his shack burnt to the ground and his granfather lying outside the shack with with a sword wound through his stomach wound he saw this all from afar he was peering through the trees he saw clearly the man who did it he was dressed in golden armor with a red cape. He promised from that day forward no matter how long it took he would avenge his families death by killing whoever did this but he knew he couldn't stay here so he went through his Grandfathers old chest where his Grandfather would always tell him and his brother to stay out of it was the only thing still remaining intact in their hut hoping to find something useful he found some dark light weight armor that couldn't fit him yet so he threw it aside then under the armor was a letter he picked it up it read (Dear Grandchild if your reading this it means I have died the reason I am writing this letter is that I want you to know what I truly am. What I am is an assassin I am a member of the Dark Brotherhood I was an assassin ever since I was young I was raised by the Dark Brotherhood they where my family they took me in raised me taught me to be what I am today and I taught you the same way they taught me even if you don't know it. Now what I want you to do is go to your Uncle Savard in Bravil he will guide you from there I love you be strong no matter what). So he knew what to do he had an uncle in Cyrodil in the city of Bravil so he took his Grandfathers dagger and a bow and headed to Bravil the quest took him many days but he finally found Bravil then after asking a few people he found uncle Savard's shack but when he opened the door Uncle Savard was lying in the middle of the floor dead with skooma laying all around him.

So Valund wandered the strange city for a few months living on the streets and killing rats to eat so he didn't starve. Until oneday he found an orphanage so he went to the orphanage the head master of the orphanage let him in and gave Valund a place to sleep. But not long after Valund found out the head master wasn't such a nice lady at all she would beat the children and make them clean. Everyday Hisin would wish he would get taken by a rich family but it never happened he never got picked. He lived miserbly for a long time.

Until he was 15 he and he and his friends from the orphanage by the names of Philip,Vilem and his best friend Ireunhart the Brave decided to run away from the orphanage. And live on the streets here he learned fast how to fend for himself while living on the streets and his friends always had his back but life was tough in the slums they had steal and fight just to get by they would spend their days scrounging for gold coins and every once and a while doing small jobs for the local crime guild members that's how they would earn most of their gold by doing jobs for the Red Hand Guild.

But back to his friends he hung out with a crowd most would call undesirable but to him they where his best friends yeah they where rough and tumble kids but they where his friends. They would get in fights sprawl rooftops and steal things but that was just the way life was in Bravil it wasn't easy. So after while his friends got to know him as a pretty good fighter so they where all thinking hey maybe we should hold fights with other kids and bet on Valund well they started to do this and sure enough Valund was great he won against most of his foes.

Valund is now 16.This is his last fight before he gets to face the champion Agrum gro-Agrob a hulking orc who has never been defeated. But thats for later lets focuse on the fight at hand Hisin is an an alley with people all standing around him and he's staring down this very large Nord by the name of Sven The-Gruesome but he's waring Sven down he's starting to get tired he can see so Sven throws a punch to Valunds face Valund ducks and finishes him with an uppercut. All his friends cheer it also happens to be his 16th birthday so after they go to the tavern and buy drinks while their drinking Agrum and his Clan of orcs happen to walk through the door and Agrum sits right next to Valund and says im gonna crush you when the fight comes then leaves. By this Valund is very angry but his friends tell him to save it for the fight. So finally the day of the fight comes he walks down the stairs to the basement where it's ment to be held. Then walks through the crowd of people into the center of the circle and sees Agrum standing there with a grin on this face then Valund puts his hands up then Agrum pauses a second then swings a crushing blow to Valund's eye where it starts to bleed then Valund punches Agrum in the mouth and Agrum starts to bleed but he smiles then starts repeadidly swinging on Valund untill he beats him to the ground then Jumps on top of him and starts to beat him again then pauses for a second and looks at the crowd and as he opens his mouth to say something Hisin headbutts him then flips Agrum to the ground and starts to repeatidly beat and headbutt him until he no longer moves then everyone starts to cheer he is the champion of the slums. Him and his friends go out and celebrate. Now that he is the toughest man in the neighborhood he is very well respected and he and his friends aren't so poor anymore.

A few days after Valund becomes champion he is walking around town and an Imperial in fine linen approaches him and says i've heard about you and I would like you to join my guild immediatly Valund knew who he was it was Vinnus Valodius he was the leader of the strongest crime guild in Bravil the Red Hand Guild. So Valund immediatly jumped at the offer and accepted because he always looked up to these guys when he was a child he strived to be like them and now he could. So he was initiated and then started of as a low level member whose job was to just sit around with other guild members and make sure no rival guilds would come on their turf and he was quite good at that the few times they had a problem Valund would beat the rivals senseless or worse at that age was the age he first killed a man while Valund was watching for rival guild members he saw one it was a Redguard Hisin approached him and they exchanged words then the Redguard tackled him and got on top of him and pulled out a dagger and slowly started to inch it towards Valund's eye Valund was trying to resist but he couldn't the Redguard slowly cut from his eyebrow to his cheek and then as he went to stab him in the throught Valund grabbed his hand and pushed the dagger into his heart when (how he got his name) he killed him he was not sorry at all being brought up his father always told him sometimes you must kill besides in the slums it was nothing to take ones life it happened all the time Valund took the life with no remorse and left him bleeding in an alley and later celebrated with his friends. now after a year of doing this Hisin rose in rank and was now extorting business owners and all three of his friends had now joined and where low level members.

By now he was 21 years of age and was now a higher up in the Guild and now sold skooma to people in the slums so it's like any other day he's standing in the alley selling to customers while Philip watched the left side of the alley Ireunhart watched the right and Vilem watched from the balcony and after the day was over he went to Vinnus and gave him his cut of the gold and was headed for the door when Vinnus stopped him and told him he had a diffrent job the next day he said he needed him to kill someone he said that if he did this he would rise in rank so Hisin accepts and tells him about a new upstart Guild of skooma dealers that was trying to move in on their turf he gave him the information on them where they hung out what they looked like.

So the next day he woke up got his crew all together and one extra guy who Vinnus sent to help an Argonian by the name of Scar-Face who was one of Vinnus's best assassins anyway he got together with them and they started to plan they had to take out 6 guys 2 Dark Elf's they where the leaders the Vinlethi twins they where the main targets. The rest where less important but still needed to be murdered so they planned it they knew exactly where they where going to be at a local tavern where Vinnus was paying the owner to look the other way and to make sure nobody else was there but the Vinlethi twins and their guild. Finally the time had come it was midnight Valund got his dagger slid it into his sheath and he and the rest of the guys walked to the tavern where Vilem covered the back door and the rest walked through the front door as they walked in Valund was greeted with a strike to the face by one of the twins they must of seen them coming from out the window this wasn't good then the fight broke out everyone took out there daggers including the rival guild and there was a giant fight then the last thing after that that Hisin could remember was him stabbing one twin in the throat and then plunging his dagger into an Imperial then he felt something hard hit the back of his head then everything went black.

When Valund awoke he was on the floor of the tavern in a puddle of blood when he looked to his right he saw his best friend Ireunhart laying next to him eyes open and a slit through his neck. than as Hisin stood up he started to look around and he saw everyone else he had brought with him also dead every single one of his friends dead now he had no one his friends where the closest thing to family he ever had and now they where gone he felt anger and despair but he knew what he must do he had to get out of their fast out of Cyrodil so right then and there he decided he had to go back home to Skyrim hopes to feel as though he is somebody not just some peasant somebody who belongs to something somebody who is part of something bigger than he is somebody to guide him and he promised himself the second he entered Skyrim Valund was dead he would cut his long hair and he would become Hauk he would no longer be a scared and confused peasant boy he would find answers that he he had been wanting to find ever since he was little and he would take revenge on the man or men who killed his family and he knew how he would find the Dark Brotherhood they would be able to help him just like they helped his grandfather as a young boy this is what his grandfather would have wanted to follow in his footsteps as an Assassin for the Dark Brotherhood.

Well when Valund was in the Jerall Mts. near the border he cut his long hair and became Hauk as he promised this would be his new better start. But it didn't start out so good he ended up in between a conflict between the Imperials and Nords and ended up being hauled into a carriage on his was to his death for them believing he was something he was not and that was a Stormcloak. So this was it this is how it ended this entire story im telling you was flashing before my eyes as I saw the Axe swing down but then out of nowhere a dragon! Yes a dragon it attacked the village I then escaped with a rebel and this is where my story really begins.

The Rebel and I escaped through a cave under the town having to kill some Imperials on the way then stepped outside into the cool Skyrim air and felt freedom. I then parted ways with the man and headed to the city of Riften where I had heard you could make easy money. When I arrived I started doing a few odd jobs for people here and there legal and illegal. Then I was confronted by a man and asked to plant a stolen ring on someone so I did, long story short I ended up in the Thieves Guild and that was a good source of money and I met a Wood Elf who taught me to be a better archer. I decided to continue to work for the Thieves Guild but still continue my search for the Brotherhood, after a few weeks and still no sign of the Brotherhood I decided to be an independent assassin and hope that the Brotherhood would find me. Sure enough they did after I was staying at Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm, and when I awoke I was in a shack with a woman talking to me she explained she was from the Dark Brotherhood and because I took a contract of their's I was to repay the kill. So she asked me to kill one of the three captives in the shack she said one of them had a contract. After alot of thinking I put an arrow between the Khajiti's eyes. The woman then asked me to join the Brotherhood and come to there Sanctuarary in the Pine forest outside of Falkreath.

So I immediatly set off to the safe house walking because at the time I had no horse and barely any gold by the time I reached the sanctuary it had been two days. When I found the place I walked up to a door with skulls on it it asked me the password and I entered. I was then greeted by the same woman who I saw in that shack two days ago her name was Astrid she kindly welcomed me and I then met the other members. Then slept for the night then in the morning I woke up and trained as I did every morning since I was 12 years old. After an hour of weapons training I spoke with one of my brothers named Nazir he told me I had a conract ready and I accepted but I didn't set off just yet. I went to speak with a brother who was sitting cross legged on the floor near where I was training he welcomed me to the Brotherhood in a very nice way and was very friendly he explained how he had once been part of something called the Shadowscales he then told me how he was the last of his kind I found the man very friendly and nice this is how me and Veezara he and I came to be best friends. Then there was Arnbjorn he was a Nord werewolf I never could say his name right hahaha, then there was Gabriella the Dark Elf girl she was nice and would always give me good hints on my contracts, Astrid was the leader I very much respesct for that woman she was like a mother to me, then there was that little girl Babette she taught me how to make poisons and that then there was Cicero most people didn't like him the thing was you just had to get used to him I ended up liking him after awhile even though he is a little crazy. Then there was Festus Krex at first he didn't like me but after awhile I got to know him and it turned out he was a friend of my grandfathers when he was in the Brotherhood. Festus told me about the ancient ways and how it was when my granfather and he where young assassins, it seemed the old way was better from what I heard. That's why when the Night Mother came I was so happy, I wanted things to return to the way it was when my grandfather was an assassin that would be great if we could return to our glory days and become a feared and powerful organization again.

There's this exchange in the Fellowship of the Ring movie where Merry asks "How do we know that this 'Strider' is a friend...?"

Frodo's reply? "I suspect an agent of the eneny would look fairer, and feel fouler."

From this, I am committed to the idea that my assassin will always be the most beautiful character I can create.

Heroism can always benefit from a scar or two.

Evil will always need the mascara.

Aside from that, my assassin is a tenuous balance between practicality and passion. Practical enough for self-preservation, passionate enough to exact a cruel right against the slightest perception of a 'wrong'. This opens the possibility that my heartless assassin will do something 'incrediably stupid' and become a hero as a result.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Definitely not that. I don't advertise my work with the Dark Brotherhood on my face— instead it'll be written quite clearly on the faces of many others...

For assassin roleplaying, sometimes I like the random bounty quests against Bandits, I sneak around and try to kill the target undetected.

I'm more of a murderer than assassin, I do love leaving a flawed pearl next to the body though. Watch for my work >.>

Yeah I do the same thing except I don't try. I do and what where you where saying about leaving a pearl? I figure it's better to leave nothing and go undetected. Also another question if your in the Dark Brotherhood is it like mandatory to worship sithis?

Most serial killers leave a calling card, so as to draw attention to their work, it's just a little roleplay flavor I like to add, before I did pearls, I did a series of screenshots where I would leave a redwort flower on all the bodies of my contracts for the Dark Brotherhood. Worshipping Sithis isn't mandatory I'd think, just think of Grogon from the Cheydinhal Sanctuary.

True true and yeah because I would rather not worship Satan  but yeah what you where saying about leaving stuff I used to do it in oblivion but then with my Skyrim character he is all about the business and keeping silent and not getting caught so he leaves no traces he even takes the arrows out of his victims so they won't put two and two together and find out it's been the same guy killing all the people. Oh and FrostMage im excited to see your character

Calling cards make you predictable. They help weave a skein of order into the dark whirlwind of chaos your actions are trying to create.

Not my 'thang.

...voilà
She's not in the Dark Brotherhood yet, but she has taken to her old habit of impersonating city guards in order to gain peoples' trust (sort of like the T-1000 from Terminator 2).

This is a profile shot of Casandra Serein. Not bad for a 221-year old Imperial, no? (She was turned into a vampire shortly after the events of the Oblivion crisis. She's better now...)

Whenever I do an assasination quest, I put on middle-class clothing and wield only a dagger (Orcish preferably) and stalk my target for days and learn their habits. Now if I want to make it a public assasination so I can strike fear into the city, I drink an invisibility potion and come in with a powerful sneak attack. If I want to do it secretly, I simply take my bow out and strike a headshot while Im lurking in the shadows. Afterwards, I drink another invisibilty potion and run to the city gates.

Ahh, the story of Casandra Serein is a long and sordid tale. Luckily, we have links.

When I finally refined the character, I settled into a 'Lawful Evil' sort of a groove— she's a half-insane axe murderer, but she conceals all this to the extreme point that she'll act heroically if it later puts her in a position of trust. Which she then abuses as best she can.

The details of her youth are inconsequential, or even fictional.

She does love her night-job, though. In certain cases, she's had more fun than a normal person should have when dealing with a grave problem. But she has had some setbacks as well. That said, Cassie will balk the rules if they seem silly to her, even if it means giving up the bonus reward to a contract.

Her skill at Destruction magic is, alas, not all that strong. Her Restoration work is unsurprisingly even worse.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Imperial and he has short black hair, goatee, and a scar on his left cheek. Yea I agree with you, the new DB armor is pretty cool looking. I like how they made one for a combat oriented assassin and a magic oriented assassin

Really trying to not sound like a total [&@%!] here, but could you please use proper grammar and spelling? It would make it so much easier for the rest of us who really enjoy reading your posts, but not the way they come. Thanks :D !
