Yeah, the Fable/Borderlands style, drop in, drop out coop would work well. For the people worrying about strangers entering your game, just about every coop game I’ve ever played has options for public/private games so it's really not an issue, unless you want it to be.

What kind of multiplayer would it be ? It would be a broken multiplayer. Why did you bother posting this topic .. ><

I think the endpoint for this, for me at least, is that this series doesn't need co-op or multi-player. It's fine as-is.

I actually hope there is no multi-player. Some many series have ruined themselves by an increasing reliance upon it. What's wrong with enjoying a game completely by yourself?

TOTALLY OPTIONAL. If you don't want multiplayer, don't use it. Easy as that.twmcnellie wrote: Also, best part: TOTALLY optional.

Re: Theory: multiplayer on DLC?
I've had games in which the multiplayer is 'Totally optional'. Never mind the fact that it related to the main game, gave extra advantages or items for those who did work with others, and if you tried doing it alone it was about as easy as doing a root canal operation on yourself.Tesknowitall wrote:TOTALLY OPTIONAL. I don't know, I guess the general assumption that everything absolutely HAS to have multiplayer annoys me. If it's completely separate from the game, what's the point to it? Why not just go play an MMO, or something else that's specifically designed for Multiplayer?
I'd rather have a DLC that would actually do something plot-wise or enriching the actual game.

Re: Theory: multiplayer on DLC?
But most of those games aren't as amazing as TES. You have halo, MW3 blah blah blah, there shoot em ups. they are meant for multiplayer. But if you bring the massive world of TES into multiplayer (OPTIONAL of course) and play mini games (arena fights) or like I said previously, a separate character account, It would be over the top and other game companies would need to work extra hard to beat it, therefore giving consumers super awesome games. Fables drop in and out system added the character an unfair advantage, an mmo like TES should be divide, single player profiles to multiplayer profiles. It's like 2 games in one.
Its SUPER unlikely that this will happen in recent years though, maybe it won't happen ever, but its fun posting and estimating how things would work out.

I posted it to create conversation and because I have been wondering about it.mcjordalini wrote:What kind of multiplayer would it be ? It would be a broken multiplayer. Why did you bother posting this topic .. ><
And some of you said that something about focusing too much to multiplayer and therefore ruining the game but we are talking about DLC:s which are just extra content and released aftergame.
