Favorite spoken line by a NPC?
Lucien Lachance-You sleep rather soundly for a murderer.
Owyn-I heard a rumor that you're an idiot. Any truth to that?

Re: Favorite spoken line by a NPC?
I don't remember his name, or where I met him, but a male Khajiit NPC once entertained me with an angry rant about some other Khajiit's rat-based cuisine. He rambled off a long list of disgusting dishes, including Rat Flambe and Rat in Cream Sauce. I LOLed, and I wish I could find him again for a repeat performance.
Personally, I find the Khajiit and Argonian voice acting to be the best in the game, and the quality of their voices adds a lot to their delivery.

Andel Indarys doesn't help his case by having a prat for a son, and a wife that dies in very suspicious circumstances. Our Dark Elves left Morrowind to get away from the Church and State, and they don't like it when Imperials get all holy and patriotic with them. Of course, local Dark Elves tend to be money-grubbing, alcoholic low-brows with little education or culture. Since I read a lot, and speak well, and don't drink brandy from milk pails, I guess I qualify as an Imperial. But on the whole, I like Cheydinhal's Dark Elves better than I like the Imperials, so go figure...." - Mach-Na

Re: Favorite spoken line by a NPC?
Weebam-Na's tirade about the guy opening the restaurant... "Rat in a Cream Sauce, Rat Flambe", etc. The last, er, recipe is unprintable here.
Mirabelle Monet at the Fo'c's'le... "Sorry, I reserve my beds for seamen." - An obvious Bethesda employee's jab at sailors going without women for months.
Generic battle taunt... "You move like a pregnant cow!" - How do YOU know? There ARE no cows!
Else God-Hater... "I hate the gods. All gods. They can all bite my garters. And if you don't like it, YOU can bite my garters, too." - Hey, I DON'T like it, you foxy Nord babe, you! Permission granted, eh? Gotcha!
Guard bends down to check corpse of Glarthir, who HE killed 5 seconds ago... "Oh my goodness. Excuse me. Are you all right?" Stands up and walks away saying in a shocked voice, "By the Divines. This person is dead!" - Now THAT's plausible deniability!
How about this AI conversation I overheard once?
NPC 1: Hello
NPC 2: Hello
NPC 1: <cough>
NPC 2: <sniff>
NPC 1: Goodbye
NPC 2: Goodbye
These two are obviously "kitchen campers" at every party.

I once saw a video with deadly reflexes, someone decapitated a guard, a guard walked up and said "OH MY GOODNESS, ARE YOU ALRIGHT!??!" to the mans headless body....XDDDDDH8Ball wrote:

Re: Favorite spoken line by a NPC?
@Frogmander: Yeah. I've seen that one before, on YouTube. Found it again today while I was looking for the exact phrases via Google, and got them from that very clip. It's a quite common AI blooper with Guards, actually.
Also sadly shook my head watching YouTube clips demonstrating some people's obviously adolescent fascination with the "unprintable" word I alluded to in my last post. Honestly, at nearly 50 years old now, I'm not past it yet, but I HAVE been past it giggle-wise since birth. I don't see what all the fuss is about. It's just the handle women lead you around by. Tarzan swings on a vine. Jane swings on his. It's why he goes "Aaaaaaa-ee-a-ee-aaaaaaa-ee-a-ee-AHH"!

Also, for me, her best quote is "Shouldn't tease me like that. I hope you trip and fall on a sword." Its as funny as it is creepy.
