It's confirmed that you still die if you stay too long underwater. Controller starts shaking and stuff when you need need air.

Maybe the PC version will have a stamina meter like before? I think I would like that.Argonanza wrote:It's confirmed that you still die if you stay too long underwater. Controller starts shaking and stuff when you need need air.

Does Argonians still have water breathing? Read something about that they might not but I'm not sure.
Sorry if I'm going OT.

Re: Tom's Adventures in Skyrim
I'm sure they probably have a meter, but like Tom said, he didn't necessarily get to see it. If it is based off controller vibrations, then I'm willing to bet that you can set it up so your controller vibrates, you have a breath meter, or maybe both.

There will most probably be visual effects aswell when you start getting low on air underwater.

Re: Tom's Adventures in Skyrim
There was no breathmeter when I played either anywhere. My fatigue bar was the only thing that showed, but you can hear yourself gulping trying to breath if you stay underwater so long and your controller vibrates. [And the seats were to at Eurogamer, was like an earthquake].

I hope there is at least some way of knowing how much time you have left before you need to return to the surface. I don't want to drown myself in an underwater cave just because I foolishly thought that I could make it through before I had to take another breath

Re: Tom's Adventures in Skyrim
Given that Bethesda games are very heavy on HUD elements I doubt you'll need to worry. Everything seems to be optional anyway. I know the compass is, and there's really no way of doing vibration on PC as a warning so there'll probably be an optional air meter.

Re: Tom's Adventures in Skyrim
Honestly I am worried about the Falmer.
I don't like scary things, or dungeons. Which kind of beats the purpose of me playing this game, but I like above ground, with fluffy animals and DB (generally). Not freaky-machine things.

Nothing, sorry. The only legion soldiers I saw was a group of three sitting around a campfire which they guy playing immediately started beating on with his axe.

Re: Tom's Adventures in Skyrim
During my hands-on of Skyrim, I did notice some Imperial/Nord tension in Whiterun, with one blacksmith trying to convince an Imperial soldier to got ask X Nord Blacksmith for help. He responded that even if he begged, X Nord Blacksmith would refuse to do anything for an Imperial. It seems that the conflict has spread beyond just the fighters.

Re: Tom's Adventures in Skyrim
:3 See, this is what I love of about Elder Scrolls. It's little details like that make me feel that they're making a world instead of a game, and the games are just our doors in. ((Didn't get the feeling so much in Oblivion, except for the tensions in SI, but Morrowind I think did a fantastic job of this.))
