Re: What features are you most looking forward to?
My one point on the dungeons is that I think there were actually more than 150 in oblivion. The problem was that they were all, barring a few examples, more or less the same. I tried to play a game once where i made it a point to go in all of them, and i got bored. So there are probably at least 50 in that game that i will never go into.
That said, if they vary enough that theyre all interesting, then i will go into them all in this game. From the interviews, it sounds like they are really aware of the monotony of the dungeons last time, and trying to make them all unique, so I wish them well in that.
Can you please post the italian article, I dont think i ever read that one.
I'm also interested in seeing how they do this economy thing they keep talking about. THere has to be a benefit to the player in damaging a local economy, otherwise i dont really see the point of doing it just so you have to pay more for arrows. I guess if you horded a lot of their commodity and then jacked the price up and sold it to them, that would be some benefit, but I would hope there is more to it. Maybe you will be able to aide on side of a conflict by hurting their opponents economy or something like that.
The thing im looking forward to most, in addition to the things you guys have listed, is just new quests. i would keep buying expansion packs for oblivion to this day if they were still making them.

BootySweat, despite your name, you may be the cutest guy on this forum. I salute thee, good sir.

Oh sweet holy mother of all that is holy.

Re: What features are you most looking forward to?
I haven't seen the original OXM article in Italian -all we have to go on is a summary by Yoae and his translation of one question - this is very controversial because it seems that Todd is saying there is you cannot create spells, i.e., no spellmaking altars, in Skyrimsoda popinski wrote:

Q: What can you tell us about weapons, houses, factions and spells?
Todd Howard: There are factions, but we don't want to talk about them right now. There are many kind of weapons which have different effects on different enemies. You can't create nor combine spells but using the same spell on both the hands you can cast a powerful version of it. The duels will be very tactical as you can use magic or physical shields. You will be able to purchase a house. More than one, as a matter of fact.

Would a TES game without Birthsigns even be a TES game?-I said that it appears that birthsigns are not in because when the article talks about character creation they are not even mentioned.

You choose blessings from the starsigns via the Guardian Stones from the E3 gameplay.Akiraka wrote:Would a TES game without Birthsigns even be a TES game?-I said that it appears that birthsigns are not in because when the article talks about character creation they are not even mentioned.

Yes, it has been mentioned in various articles that there are no birthsigns.Akiraka wrote:Would a TES game without Birthsigns even be a TES game?-I said that it appears that birthsigns are not in because when the article talks about character creation they are not even mentioned.
Instead there are dozens of Guardian Stones spread throughout the province that allow you to customize your character in various ways and later change them if you find a different stone you like better.
For example, one of the Guardian Stones lets you gain XP more quickly for either combat, stealth or magic skills.

Re: What features are you most looking forward to?
Need's to be more precise, we can combine spell's by equipping them in both hands but can we combine spells by making a spell such as fire damage and frost damage in one. But without being able to make spell's i figure this wont be the case.Argonanza wrote:How old is that, because I'm certain I've heard something about spells working together somewhere.BootySweat wrote:You can't create nor combine spells

This seems really interesting: 29. there is a cause and consequence tree for every quest (french)
However I'm not so sure how I feel about 30: NPCs accompany you on your quests to show you the way (french)

Re: What features are you most looking forward to?
The way it was described in a few articles describing the Park City 45-min demo or the 30-min E3 demo, suggests that some NPCs walk with you part of the way, but you can ignore them or walk ahead if you want.Mindrifter wrote:However I'm not so sure how I feel about 30: NPCs accompany you on your quests to show you the way (french)
there are other NPCs you can hire to accompany you when adventuring, and I assume out of the pool of NPCs that you can befriend or romance, some of those would be available to accompany you, if you want them to.

I think the farming animation consists of harvesting vegetables and grains from plants growing in farmlands, but not sure.

Much improved animations and art-style. Along with the improved console draw distance. Will make a HUGE difference.
EDIT: Also the lesser level scaling and the new magic spells.

Re: What features are you most looking forward to?
I am hoping just to loose myself in the game, I think I like that there will be birds, animals hunting other animals and unlimited dragons. I actually hope to get the game and then not even play the quests just cruse around doing my own thing!
Also the [&@%!] thing just happened to me, I just remembered the month of October in between September and November effectively delaying the game by one month for me
all i can say is Octoberfest better be worth the extra month!
