Yeah. The IC seems too open for a capital, whereas Skingrad is a veritable maze.

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
I spend a lot of time in the Imperial City. But outside of that, my favorite would have to be Bruma. Its where my favorite thieves guild fence is and non of the houses look "poor".

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
Bruma is easily one of my favourites, the architecture, environment it makes me feel like I could live there.
Anvil is also high on the list aswell is Chorrol.
I dislike Bravil, it is simply a dump and not a very charming dump.

My favorite city is Bruma, I really like the arcitecture and the wniter house lodges style all the buildings are done in are beutiful plus i love snow! Leyawin is my least favorite city, i hate all the yellow looking houses there and the place is dirty! Bravil is cool looking but you will probaly catch a disease on your first day there

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
Favorite is definitely Cheydinhal. I love the architecture, the river, and bridges. The house is great too. The people are rude at first, but if you raise their disposition to above 70, their all very nice from then on.
Least favorite is Bravil. Its dirty, the river is a sewer, and the the houses are a nightmare. It is good for acrobatics training with all the tall houses though.

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
For me, Oblivion's varied cities are one of the big plusses of this game. Every one is different, with its own style and vibe. By travelling from city to city you actually get the feeling of arriving in a place that is different from the one you left, with different possibilities and opportunities, which is something that a lot of video games fail to capture.
Oblivion's feel of atmosphere with depth is a testament to the incredible amount of creativity and man-hours that must have gone into the game's development.
As for a most or least favourite city, I can't break it down like that. I like each one, because it isn't the same as any other one.

Least favourite? To be honest.. The imperial city, it's too difficult to navigate around and most of the time I feel like i'm going in circles.

Well, since the city is circular, you are going in circles...
Just wanted to add the Brumas also has the cooles Coat of Arms in the game.

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
My favorite city is Anvil, however if Kvatch wasn't destroyed I think it would be awesome! Also I saw some concept art, it was a map of Layawiin but it was divided into three sections much like how the Arcane University & the Imperial Prison are outside of the Imperial City. only one section was on the west coast of Niben river, one in the middle, and one on the east coast. if they had used this design for Layawiin it would be one of my favorites.
My least favorite city is Skingrad. Most of the people are okay, and the architecture is amazing, but I can't stand how the guard insist on calling me "Slop Drudge"!

I definitely myself love Skingrad I think it is the coolest town. Also it has the best castle I really want to hear your opinions and my second favorite is Cheydinhall.

I think I'd have to go with Chorrol. It's on the edge of two forests, has my favorite guard armor, favorite mages guild and generally a pretty nice aesthetic appeal.

Cheydinhal, definitely. The buildings look great, and the scenery is perfect. Sure the people are rude at first, but after raising their disposition they're pretty nice neighbors.

Chorrol, it's welcoming, the people are generally nice, and quaint buildings. And Oaks are cool
Cheydinhal is a close second.

Anvil, mostly because its one of the few cities that are by the sea and, in my opinion, the best houses and shops.
Can I mod finally make me a confirmed user? I'm pretty sure I done everything for a while now and still can't do things.

Re: Favorite town and why
I like Bruma the best, and I'm kind of surprised about it. But snowy areas always give me a feeling of quiet, bittersweet nostalgia, so I like going there.

Bruma because I'm so familiar with it and the fact that it has snow. Also the Imperial City just because I spend so much time there, especially the market district.

Anvil is my favourite. It has the town itself, which is quiet, then the dock, which is dirty and crowded but with a nice view of the sea.

Chorrol or Anvil, they just have the best feel to me.
Someone should really give Bravil and Leyawinn some love.

Re: Favorite town and why
Skingrad's definitely my second favorite. I love the cheese and wine culture, and the way some NPCs talk about it. It feels the most homey I think. I suppose I only like Chorrol better for their guild halls and Oak mascot, so it's very close. Thanks guys for answering wow no Skingrad votes come on guys
I love the wooden architecture of Bravil... but it basically being a swampy crack town kinda prevents it from being livable. That's what keeps me from liking Cheydinhal too much -- I can't walk two feet without bumping into the Orum gang (sure I could kill them, but, meh).Someone should really give Bravil and Leyawinn some love.

Re: Favorite town and why
Chorrol for me because of how it looks because for me it has a English feel to it.
A hero can be anyone, even a man doing some as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hadn't ended.
