Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
My favourite is Anvil, and I like Benirus Manor so it's where my character lives. Rosethorn Hall is nice, if overly expensive, but I digress. I like Leyawiin and Bruma as well, the architecture is nice there.
I don't really have least favourite. Although Bravil is sort of squalid in my opinion.

The houses in Skingrad and Avil are cool. But as far as the cities go, i don't like any of them as such.
I like Borderwatch though...

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
In vanilla I would say Bruma or Skingrad both are nice cities.
But if I take BBC into account I must admit Bravil looks best there, yes its dirty and stained but its awesome. It feels like a real medival town.

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
Skingrad is my favorite. The guard is involved with the people, such as they know glarthir is crazy and seek you out if you talk to him. The castle is huge, and all the houses are nice. The worse part of town is not even bad really, and the town as a whole has such a big influence in Cyrodiil. Think about it; they have the baker, two head wine makers, the best real estate, and the count is involved heavily with the mages guild.
My least favorite is Leyawiin. It rains all the time, its a swamp, the guards are racist and the count is an ignorant idiot. Same with the countess.
And they were mean to Amuesei

I'm actually making a housing mod for myself at the moment, and it's in the little outcropping right where (if you have Unique Landscapes) Arrius Creek passes through the road outside of Cheydinhal. It's in a Cheydinhal style
One of my favorites...

What about on the Shivering Isles? (I hope it's okay with the OP and everyone for me to move discussion over there)

Meh... Shivering is all the same. Just insanity portrayed in architecture.

My favourite is Chorrol, is just a nice town.
I dislike Leyawiin, it's dreary, the architecture is very messy, aren't many people I liked, and the house you get there is pathetic.

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
MOST
Skingrad - Love the location, atmosphere, and people
Chorrol - Love the environment (forest) and the small-town kinda feeling
Chedinyhal - Been there so long I've sort of gotten used to it
Bravil - Full of life, one of the best mages guildhalls IMO, and perfectly located (world map)
Imperial City - Economic reasons
Anvil - Nice looking city, but just too far away from everything
Leyawiin - Okay, nothing too special. Far way from everything as well
Bruma - I don't like snowy areas and I don't feel anything special to the Nordic atmosphere
LEAST
Did I forget any?

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
My two faves are Skingrad and Bruma, very distinguished cities I think, and of course it doesn't hurt that Bruma has a statue of you, and the Count of Skingrad is a grade A thug.
My least? Imperial City. It's garbage, I loathe it.

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
Favorite: Skingrad. A great manor (with a maid!), awesome buildings, merchants with plenty of cash, just about the right size (although they could all stand to be about four times bigger), and it's close by to many other cities. What's not to love?
Least favorite: Chorrol. It just doesn't stand out at all. No attitude. I practically forgot it existed. Everywhere else has some character to it. Even if that character is "ghetto slum" like Bravil.

Not wanting to get into an argument here, but I object to what you just said about Bravil, there is nothing Jewish about it.
On-topic though, I like the symbols of Chorrol (Great Oak) and Leyawiin (White Stallion). I dislike the Skingrad moon symbol, it just doesn't work for me.

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
Bruma is my favourite. The buildings look lovely, the people are interesting and I love how the houses are semi-underground to conserve heat. I think Bruma has the most character and if the Bruma house was a little more... Better, I would live there permanently. I want display cases. Every where.
My least favourite in all honesty is probably Cheydinhall. The count just does nothing and it gets on my nerves, not to mention I always seem to get lost there. There's the one section, all spread out and nice like where the abandoned house is and the chapel and the houses, then you got the guild halls all cramped together and it's like walking into an alley-way
Edit: I also don't like how I manage to be head of every guild, divine crusader, champion of Cyrodiil, saviour of Bruma, hero of kvatch etc and STILL don't get invited to those fancy skooma parties in that big house.
The cheydinhal home also annoys me. Loads of boxes and barrels and crates and junk all over the place.

Re: Favorite city / least favorite city.
From top to bottom:
Cheydinhal - DB sanctuary. Nice architecture. Household Drunkard. Lots o' dunmer. What's not to like?
Leyawiin - I apparently disagree with everyone here. Leyawiin is a nice place. It's perpetually foggy. I like wet weather. Sure, the house is horsedung, there's too many khajiiti and argonians, the count doesn't know what's going on, the countess is a jerk, and there's nothing interesting going on. But I love the atmosphere made by the fog, and the architecture reminds me of old-timey danish building style. It's a bit like home.
Bravil - Rustique, they have fireplaces in wooden houses (Dumbasses), and the coat of arms of Bruma is the nicest of all.
Kvatch - Cmon? Really? What's not to like?
Chorrol - Just not memorable. I keep forgetting about the place.
Anvil - Tied with Chorrol. Not memorable, aside from the nightmares I got from Benirus Manor. It's also way too far away from everything but Fin Gleam.
Skingrad - The place is a freaking maze! I can't find my way around. I went about for half an hour trying to find the castle before I discovered that I had to exit the city! That, and everything's grey and shaped like a box.
Bravil - Dirty, falling apart, murky. I just don't like the place.
Imperial City - Too crowded, too big, too geometrical. And it takes forever to get anywhere.
