Eh...I don't see how anybody could ever live in Kvatch...It's been destroyed twice.
I missed it here.

I'd live the Imperial City. It's New York for oblivion.

Necromancy may be legal in Cyrodiil, but few will openly admit to practicing it now that the Mages Guild has banned it.

I want to live in Skingrad now. Morning Glory is my favorite flower. That and I enjoy stealing from that count, Hassildor.

Sorry, Kvatch never gets rebuilt. Kind of stupid of them actually. There are several mods out there for the PC that do rebuild Kvatch.

Lately, I've been spending more time in other people's houses than my own...

On the wiki, there is an "artistic illustration" of pre-attack Kvatch:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Kvatch
I didn't post the link directly to the pic, because full size it doesn't have the same effect. If you scroll down the above page to look at it, to me it always looks like some really creepy old man. ....or maybe it's just me that sees it like that??

Me too :o

I play with the mod called "Kvatch Aftermath", and it is a very well done mod. Alot of new quests that allows you to rebuild the city, add new shops, and become the new count. It shouldn't be impossible to post some pictures...
I used to play Oblivion, then I took an arrow in the knee.

I mean in Oblivion. Who in real like would keep calmly eating at their dinner table while you have a sword out and are clad in medieval-style steel armor? I wouldn't. For the record, would they say, "You have the hands of a healer." :o

Although I have been spending time at my neighbors' houses. Not surprising: I have to babysit their kids. It's a cool job, as I get free food and access to the internet once the kids fall asleep cause they think I'm so boring. They haven't played video games yet, apparently.

Well I was presuming that you were at least wearing normal street clothes rather than full medieval armour!!

Just make sure you don't introduce them to gaming, else you'll never get to use the internet there, and they will never go to sleep!

I would live in Cheydinhal. Very beautifull city.

Bruma would be my second, nice and cozy.

Skingrad, for some reason it always rains there, I love the rain....

Second place would definitely be Anvil, everytime I go there I feel as if I can smell the salt water...

Definitely Bruma. The houses are the best, I love both the interior and the exterior. And I love the cold weather. Also, I like how the town is arranged. Not to mention the mountains...

Not sure. I'd probably have a couple of homes and travel a lot. Cheydinhal is one of my favorites- beautiful landscape, great architecture, not too far from the Imperial City, and the DB. Skingrad has some wonderfully rich surrounding land (I used the construction set to build my own "palace" just outside of Skingrad), choice locals like Tamika, a central location, and even the poorest houses are as mansions compared to the rest of Cyrodil. Nords are my all-time favorite race, and I'm a sucker for those longhouses, so Bruma is a natural choice for me. Anvil and Leyawiin are both fun port cities (nothing like living by the sea!), but Leyawiin is full of stinking Khajiit and Argonians, so Anvil is the clear winner there.

So I guess my main house would be in Skingrad (or just outside of Skingrad) and considerable time would be spent between Anvil, Bruma, Cheydinhal, and the Imperial City.

Anvil,i like the house u can buy there and the armourer has 1200 gold so i can sell my loot from raiding bandit lairs and get the most money from it.

Also i would live in anvil though i dont know the real reason behind my choice. It felt like home, and many firsts are there; my first home, first quest, fighters guild and my first kill et cetera. Also i like to live in a city with a sea around
