Screw what I'm "supposed" to do, I'm playing the game, I want to make a character with super speed, that's my business. Personally, I believe that lore, logic, realism, detail, all of that should only serve to enhance gameplay. If it's a great story that you don't enjoy playing, then I'm not really down for that.Haravikk wrote:But you're not supposed to be a super-human/mer/khajit/argonian
Frankly, I never felt like I was going slow in the first level. That issue about armor is a good point, however. I just hope if they have a 'Flash/Spider-Man' perk, you can get it early, I hate having to ignore the first bit of a character's "story" in your head because he doesn't have what he should have right away.Haravikk wrote:Not without magical assistance or enchanted items anyway, which could very well still give you unnatural speed. But I think the point of dropping these skills is that it stops you having to wander around like you're wading through molasses in the early game, in favour of having a more consistent basic speed. It's likely that armour will still have an effect on your speed, that a perk may be able to reduce/remove, but to go faster than normal I think will require more sensible perks, or magical intervention for anything approaching unnatural speed.
That's not super speed, that's time travel/control. Which isn't a bad power, but it isn't the same.Haravikk wrote:I wonder though what the dragon shout to slow down time will be like, as if you still move normally then that's going to be quite the advantage right there
