3 questions lol might as well get some help

Post by neo3006 »

Here are my questions, I apperiecate the help

1. Okay I have a level 20 character redguard, I am on the mage quest where you have to go to bruma and find out what happened, I usually have the problem of finding wraiths as the enemies in there, my question is this, and may sound stupid but what is the best weapon to take them out? I can't seem to get past this area as bad as that sounds, but I only have 4 quests left and I can be the head guy at least on the mages guild.

2. I am also on the fighters guild where I been traveling with guild masters son, he has no armour left, I am on the part where you go down and have to kill some orcs, what would be the best way to take them out as well, I know this is all alot of help.

3.Next question would be on all the spells you guys have customed made are there any spells that you would say take out alot of enemies at one time? I have my destruction skill at level 51, seems to take forever to get it up.

4.Oblivion gates, what would you suggest you have when you go up there, I was messing around yesterday in there had an enchanted weapon but with only 27 charges you run out of that real quick, any ideas on how to fix this, or do i have to go to a guild or town to get it recharged everytime.

5.Enchanting, what would be a good combination to maybe take out creature, I want to use a few enchanting weapons to maybe take out wraiths and orcs and the baddies in the gates.

I am sorry for alot of questions, but I been stuck on these points and would love some help in order to get to the next level thanks. :D

heres my answers if they are any good

1) destruction spells do the most damage to wraiths or a nice enchanted sword. i tend to use a fireball spell and make sure i have plenty of potions on me

2) why doesnt he have any armour on? im sure he's essential so the only problem is the orcs. i really struggled with them, i think i had to run out and come back lol. i would say make sure you have good armour on and a very good sword and maybe a few destruction spells and just attack, attack! and plenty of potions

3) i cannot answer this question as i never made a custom spell

4) since your a high level, always be prepared in oblivion gates as they are tough. if u like using enchanted weapons, get a soul gem filled up (or azuras star) and then dup them so you have plenty to use on your weapon

5) again i cant help you there :P

im hoping ive been helpful. there are plenty of guys who are much better than me to help you lol. hopefully they will have some input

1-2 can't really help you.

erm I think you could use a strong touch spell so you don't kite all the time or use some dirty effects (turn undead in feet, command creature/humanoid in feet)

4. soul gems or azuras star to recharche those look at answer 5

5. cheap enchantment. enchant a dagger or shortsword with, in this order :
2sec soul trap (look at the leyawinn mage guild for the spell)
drain health 100 pts 2 sec
weakness to magicka 100% 2 sec (skinrad mage guild)
if you hit this weapon quickly on a target he'll die easily.

You can never ask enough questions :D

1. Wraiths have a 100% resistance to Frost. So do not use Frost spells or weapons with a Frost enchantment on them! They also have a 100% resistance to Normal Weapons which means weapons that are not enchanted will not damage them. Finally they have a 100% resistance to Poison which means you cannot use poisons on them.
So you've got to use a Fire, Damage Health or Shock spell, or a weapon with a Fire/Shock/DamageHealth enchantment. At your level I recommend you do the Boethia Daedric Quest which gets you a lot of great loot and a sword called Goldbrand which has a very strong Fire Damage enchantment ;).

2. I think you're talking about Ogres, not Orcs :D. All Ogres have a 25% weakness to Poison which means Poisons do extra damage. Buy a Poison at an Alchemy store (for example: The Main Ingredient in the Imperial City) or make one yourself. Use it on your bow or weapon of choice (a dagger for example). Now go in stealth mode and get as close to your enemy as possible without being seen. Save often so that you can reload if something goes wrong. Hit the Ogre with a poisoned stealth attack.
Ogres have no other weaknesses or resistances which means you can just use any spell or weapon you like on them. Just hit them a lot and hit them hard :D.

3. Training your Destruction skill is easy. Create a custom spell:
Weakness to <Element> on Self, 3% for 1 sec.
For example: Weakness to Fire
Now cast it repeatedly and your Destruction skill will raise very quickly.
As for your question:
Weakness to Shock 100% for 1sec on Target/Touch
Shock Damage X points on Target/Touch
X = highest value possible (depending on your gold and Destruction skill level)
You can also make a Fire and Frost spell.

4. Shock! Create some spells that do Shock damage and use weapons with a Shock enchantment! 9/10 of the enemies you'll encouter in the Oblivion Planes have a weakness to Shock.

5. For Oblivion Gates, as I've said: shock enchantments. Wraiths can be killed with either Fire or Shock. Ogres with either Fire, Frost or Shock.

1.) I found that the best way to take down any wraiths was to find a decent-ish staff. You may have a couple hanging around from previous missions in the guild, or you could just go and find some necromancers, they usually have a staff... Any destruction spell staff will do (except frost), 3 hits and most die quickly. Just try to take them on one at a time... It may also be a good idea to have a fairly low amont of items with you as Wraiths can lower your endurance which can leave you over encumbered and very vulnerable...

2.) I just ran straight to the body to get the journal entry, then left as quickly as possible.. I can't really help to much here, I would just try and take them on in the tunnels. But Viranus is 'essential' so it doesn't matter if he gets knocked out repeatedly, it just lowers the amount of trolls on you ;)

3.) To take out a lot of enemies in one hit will be hard, it would be better if you weakend them to magic and an element as one spell (e.g. Weakness to Shock 100% for x seconds over x ft, Weakness to Magic 100% for x seconds over x ft, just have x as high as possible without it destroying your magicka reserves) Then cast a reasonably low level spell in an area (e.g. Shock for 20 damage for 4 seconds over x ft) which should do good damage with the other spells weakening them... To train Destruction follow Josjie advice

4.) Make sure you always enchant an item with soul trap, and have Azuras Star star with you (if possible, since you might have misplaced/given it away) And as for a recommend enchantment, I like to use a shortsword with Weakness to Shock 100% 1 sec, Shock 10 damage 1sec, Soul Trap 2 secs... That way you should be able to recharge your weapon frequently, have a fair few charges and deal more and more damage each time (as long as you hit quickly) Alternatively if you have SI installed find any sword 'Of the Dynamo' , these have a powerful shock spell and soul trap (Note: This only works with Si installed because of an enchantment added known as Soul Dynamo which has the soul trap effect added, whereas the plain Oblivion will still have 'of the Dynamo' swords, only with the shock damage)

5.) See above

Hope that helps!! :)
