Basically, the first thing I did in the game was getting caught by guards.

I entered the Market Distrcit and some shops, and thought all the merchandise was in the basement, so there I went to the basement of shops, not realising I was comitting a crime.

When a guard comes to me asking for a 'fine', I thought he was the corrupt watchman (I started the quest after I enter the IC, since I talked to the Orc). Obviously, I thought he was the one doing a bad thing, so I resisted arrest, and got killed.

I spent some time thinking it was completely unfair, until I found out about crimes and getting caught. XD

I just tried out making perma-bound equipment for my argonian today, and for the cuirass, I used a spell that bound it for 60 secs. So I cast it, repaired it and dropped it, just to be safe. Then I sat down on a nearby stool and waited for the spell to run up. When it did, I stood up and my character's tail was stuck in the sitting position. I think it only lasted until I entered another area.

Also, I was messing around with the Zero Visibility quest, and decided to botch it. Of course, I saved before I did. I cast the reversion spell on the mage dude twice, just to see how he and the townsfolk would react. When I load to do it right, his robe was visible, unlike the rest of him. :P

Ever curious to see just what Ancotar looked like without his hood, I killed the mage and took it off his body. Reloading the savegame, Ancotar was alive, well, and invisble again— except for his hood. What you had instead was a disembodied Mage's Hood floating around.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

On my first char I thought that the travel system would be same it was in Morrowind, so, I walked to Bravil to get a boat to anvil, there I kept searching 30 minutes for a boat, started the Loche trouble quest and then the orc told me to use his boat so I were like "What boat?" then I foundthe boat and tried to get to Anvil with it, Boom, I appear in some island and then thought that this cannot be Anvil. Then I were told how the travel system works, and I were like "How stupid am I?"

I remember the first thing I did after I got the game was start the quest "Bear Season". When the guy told me I had to kill 6 bears, I tried it out, got frustrated, came back and punched the guy in the face. He then punched me back, and well, I ended up killing the guy.

Wups...

The thing about the Oblivion travel system, is that there isn't one. Unless you count clicking on a button in the menu traveling.

I was wering the gray cowl and was going to take them out when they attackt an imperial watch.
I ran down to him and killed both of the mauders and then the watch turned around and said ''your wanted dead or alive Gray Fox'' and i ran for 10 minitues untill i found an ogre who killed the watch

Oh my....where can I possibly begin?
I've had so many stupid moments, it's almost embarrassing. I've been playing for well over a year, so I've had plenty of stupid moments.
I'll just go with my two most memorable stupid moments.

During "The Ultimate Heist" I think I took the quest way too seriously. I treated the quest like any other up until I got past the part where I had to shoot the arrow into the lock. (Which I spent at least three hours looking for the switch, then had to restart three times because I wasted the arrow >.< )
Once I got to where there were actual people, I was sneaking around like the game would explode if I got caught. I think I even stopped breathing whenever a guard passed me after I got the Elder Scroll.
I did very, very little stealing afterward. The Grey Cowl was pretty much useless to me. (Good thing I still enjoyed causing mass murder! :Twisted Evil: )

But my most memorable Grey Cowl incident was when I got a full set of chameleon armor to make me invisible, but wore the grey cowl just in case.I realized then I could go anywhere I wanted and wouldn't get in trouble, so I started going into all the places I'd wanted to go, but never dared to go.
Eventually, my spree ended in Skingrad where I went exploring. (Never spent much time there, so it was a good place to go) I eventually went into the throne room and poked around, and spotted the throne. I was sitting there kicking myself for never exploring here because I thought the place looked cool, when all of the sudden, Hassildor pops up out of nowhere and greets me with a cheerful greeting.
I swear I jumped a foot out of my chair, and bolted out of Skingrad entirely. I swear I almost had a heart attack! O.o

Curse you Hassildor! :x

I heard someone talking about the Dark Brotherhood rumor. I spent hours trying to figure out how to trigger the quest (missed the whole "When you murder somebody..." part apparently) I eventually gave up.
Sometime later, I started the main quest, and went to sleep in a dark corner in one of the empty beds. I didn't sleep for as long as I wanted, so I was thinking "wtf?" (Mind you, it was about two in the morning)
Next thing I know, Lucien pops up on the screen looking like an evil shadow about to kill me.
Lucky for him, he was already talking, somy trigger happy finger didn't end up cutting him in half.

The NPCs like to randomly pop in and scare me, apparently.

Oh... The most stupid moment i´ve had is quite embarrassing -
I was in one of my "Why am i playing this F***** game" moments - Sitting on an old bench, inside the Cheydinhal Sanctuary - Quickly eating all the ingredients in my inventory! After I´ve ate all the eatable stuff in my inventory I realised one very stupid thing - The small icon in the corner of the screen where´nt good - The Poison Apples i´d bought an hour ago was´nt there in my ingredients list......... You get it

First time I played the blades killed me because I kept hitting them thinking they wouldn't fight back ever and never knew there was a yield function either.

That thread is more of the amusing glitch and incidental humourous situation. This thread is more of the silly things that happened because it was your first play-through and your inexperience played a major factor.

The first time I played I spent like 20 minutes pumping arrows into targets behind one of the Fighters' Guilds before I realized it wasn't making my level increase any.

The first time I ever entered a city (Market District, right after I exited the sewers) I thought it was full of enemies, so I talked to a guard and tried to make him follow and help me... :?
