I factored Vladimir's Strength and Agility for this, in addition to rolling the die. You rolled a 5.
The Animus Chamber
Vladimir heard Noah give a shout as the Russian dived for the wire, and he managed to land the pliers on target and cut through a good bit of the cord. Though it was still in one piece, it was only holding by a strand and could probably be ripped in half easily.
Lana was not a fighter, so she wasn't going to attempt to restrain the Russian. She drew her hidden blade and held it level with Vladimir's throat. "Drop it. This is your only warning." Lana bluffed, using her practice with roleplaying disguises to hopefully convince the Russian of her imaginary prowess
Upon a split second inspection after using the pliers, Vladimir noticed that they didn't quite make it all the way through.
Before he could make another attempt to break it, he felt a familiar sharpness on his neck.
Der'mo! He could see that the wire would probably only need a hard pull before it would break, but....
The Russian dropped the pliers as requested. He kept his head still and his gaze on the wire; not looking at Lana at all.
“There. I hiv dropped them, as you ask.” He glanced up at the woman for a brief moment before drawing his eyes back down to the chair. He kept his hands fairly near the wire.
"Chert chertovski ublyudok!" Noah swore loudly, drawing a pair of handcuffs out of one of the deep pockets of his coat. "She was right, she knew you wouldn't do the right thing. Lana, make him get up. Connor, I'll need you too."
"Idiot." Lana muttered to herself as she began to approach Vladimir. With her hidden blade drawn she flicked her wrist. "Get up, let's do this the easy way alright? You're all alone, and even if you get through here the Assassins will get you if the Templars don't first." She said attempting to make Vladimir realize rhe futility of his puruits before she was forced to let Connor handle the situation.

Lana looked at Vladimir with all the sympathy she could muster, and retracted her hidden blade. "For the time being, there's nowhere else for you or anyone else here to go. That includes us." Lana said to Vladimir, offering her hand to shake. "Let's just try to make the best of the situation we are in." She said to Vlad.
"I understind. It is here with you or there with thim." Vladimir nodded as he spoke sombrely.
He shook Lana's hand quickly and abruptly; as if he were reluctant to do so.
"But I am not hippy about iny of this. And I do not want to git in that machine. I hate machines; especially ones that make you go crizy." He looked at the Animus with disgust.
Noah reluctantly stowed the handcuffs away. His expression made it clear he wasn't happy with the situation, but he obviously trusted Lana's judgement.
"Should we go get something to eat, then? Not much point in sitting around here, and I'll need a full stomach to concentrate on the repairs." He glared at Vladimir pointedly, but truth be told, it wasn't a very intimidating look. The glasses ruined the effect.
"Like it or not, we don't really have a choice in the matter.." Lana said offhandedly to Vladimir as she looked at Noah. "Yea, let's go. Some time to stretch their legs might do them some good." Lana said referring to the captives.
"Under normal circumstances, my dear chap, i would have elected to use a civil method to help you to agree to assist us with our thrilling endeavour." Connor told the Russian bloke before listening to the mysterious lady and slowly released his grip on the man's chin whilst retracting his blade. He remained silent for the entire exchange between the others whilst listening to what was being said.
He pretended to not hear Noah's cry out of a curiosity to see what the Russian's man's plan was. As far as he knew, Vladimir was outnumbered, unarmed and had the fortune of having him as his mutal agent. He did hope the chap would reconsider his options as he wasn't above using such savage tatics such as beating a man to death to stop Vlad from sabatoging the rest or from escaping.
"I believe i should introduce my self, chaps. I am Connor and it is a pleasure to meet your aquitances. I should advise some of you about the dangers of getting on my bad side as i would prefer not to have to punch you repeatly until your skull fractures for attempting to harm our order." He told the guests of honour and Lana but his message was aimed at the guests.

Vladimir was relieved when he saw the man in glasses putting away the handcuffs.
He looked over at what damage he had done to the wire on the animus; it seemed as though he had effectively ruined the function of that particular part of the equipment, but the lab tech's words suggested that he didn't think it was anything that couldn't be fixed fairly quickly.
He ignored what the very tall man was saying about himself and just stood about, not knowing what to do. He still wasn't in the mood to join in with the introductions.
"Where are we going now then?" He said aloud to anyone that might know.
Cole nodded. "I could go for some food." he said, realizing just how hungry he actually was. He waiting for someone who knew where they were going to take the lead.
"That is a rather fine question, my dear chap but the real question you should be asking is what do we do with you afterwards? Do we slowly slice your throats once what we have? or do we live up to our words and assist you with moving to a rather superb house or recruit you into our vintage order." Connor told the two men whilst stroking his messy beard.

Vladimir's ears pricked up at Connor's mention of killing them.
"Why you say this? What are you trying to do? Frighten us?"
After previously speaking with Lana, he'd settled himself down, but now he was feeling riled again.
He looked at Lana, "Is this true? Are you going to kill us all when you hiv what you want?" His eyes darted between Connor and Lana.
"No, my dear chap unless you give us cause to and i do hope you would not give us cause to." Connor told Vlad. "But those are questions one should ask to avoid the potential nagging feeling that one forgot to ask a very important question. However, it is easy for us to lie to us as it is for you to lie to us."

Vladimir didn't understand what on earth Connor was saying; his way of speaking had a tendency to confuse the Russian.
He waited for more information from someone else; his confusion increasing his stress level.
"Let's be clear, it will be likely that the Order will want you as recruits. It would be the best way to get you both the skills and protection you'll need if you don't want to end up dead at the hands of Templars." Lana said looking towards the hall. "So, no. I wouldn't hesitate to do so, but I'm not ordered to harm you." Lana said this whilst not meeting eye contact with Vladimir, she didn't want this life for anyone.

Though not feeling very much assured, Vladimir calmed down a little.
"Let us hope that your orders do not change then," he replied grumpily.
He put his hands in his trouser pockets and started to slowly stroll around the room.
Alex rolled her shoulders then stepped away from Noah, towards Connor, at least closer by a few steps. "So food yes?" She asked as her stomach rumbled. "Is there a.. I dunno, restaurant nearby or something?"

"There are, yeah. But she said to take you guys to the mess hall." Noah answered, watching Vladimir closely as the Russian aimlessly walked around the chamber, "Maybe they're showing an orientation film or something, I don't know. More likely they just want to give you time to get settled in before giving you a taste of freedom." He laughed uneasily.
"So now that we're all in agreement, the mess hall is this way. Follow me." He pushed open the door, revealing a dingy looking hallway: the walls were flecked and rough stone, and the floor was made of the same material. The Animus Chamber had been bare, but it had been nice enough compared to this.
