Hi to everyone!

I've made a brief stint on the forums before, but then I dropped out for a few months due to some personal stuff having come up. But now I'm back, and I intend to stay! And since I never posted on this thread the first time I was around I thought now would be the right time to rectify that.

I'm from Germany, currently in my mid-thirties, and I've been playing TES since 2011. Currently I'm playing ES: Online. When I'm not playing computer games I enjoy watching Star Trek and hanging out at the riding club. I also write fan fiction on occasion, and I might post some of my stuff here on the forum.

Hey, everyone! I'm Gandoril Spellbinder (a.k.a. Gandoril, Gan (preferred), G.S., or The Spellbinder). I'm an Autistic (Asperger's Syndrome, specifically) Kentuckian that just loves RPGs, especially Oblivion and all the other TES games! My best-friend in grade-school introduced me to TES when I went to his house (actually the first, and, thus far, only, time I went to a friend's house) and he let me play Oblivion. I instantly fell in love with its open-world that truly felt medieval. I have spent more time on Oblivion than any other video-game to date, possibly racking up 5000+ hours over my current life-time (I haven't actually counted). I also enjoy some action-games, provided they're set in either a medieval or a fantasy world (Darksiders is my favourite, while Assassin's Creed is a close second!) I'm fairly knowledgeable about TES, and will try to answer any questions that new players may have!

P.S.: I'm Gandoril The Spell-Binder on UESP Wiki. Also, I will be having my birthday soon (Halloween, of all days), and would like for everyone to eat a piece of candy for me! Thank you! I certainly plan to be here a while, since I'm horribly infatuated with TES and would never be able to shut-up about it once I got going. By the way, I based my name on UESP upon the name for my male High Elf in Arena (Ganril Spellbinder). I wish I had enough space in Arena to use the name "Gandoril", but, alas, there's an eighteen-character-limit (plus I've never seen a High Elf in Arena with the randomly-generated name "Gandoril"; just "Ganril"). Also, did you know that "Gandalf" and "Saruman" (or "Sarumon"; I forget) are possible names for the randomly-generated civilians of the Summurset Isle in Arena? Very neat, in my opinion.

Another soul in the grinder here. I've been following the uesp for a long time as my go-to resource when I needed to find something in the game but did'nt realize there was a forum attached until recently. I joined in order to get a bit of help with an issue with a mod I have but providing the community is friendly i'll certainly stick around.

A bit about me:
Loves: History, TES games (the singleplayer ones anyway), rhetorics, discussing and exchanging opinions in a polite manner, roleplaying (tabletop, larp, forum, online in games... You name it).
Pet Peeve: People claiming swords are slow and that armor is heavy and cumbersome (once my trial period is over I can link a youtube video proving otherwise, most people will be very hard pressed to follow the speed).

I've trained historical european swordfighting, specifically the german (Lichtenauer) tradition, privately i'm a father of two lovely girls and oh, i'm a historian - but having an MA in that does not make me an expert on anything but a few very specific fields, it means I have a little knowledge in nearly everything in the grand tapestry of history however - anyone who claims "I am a historian thus an expert" is usually lying.
