It's this site where you donate money to fund a project. Except there have been so many times where it just completely backfires and the product either comes out greatly cut down, or not at all. I'm not the only person who feels that Kickstarter is too risky, as reports have come out that money donated to game Kickstarter projects is vastly down. Now, I like a good number of Kickstarted games, FTL: Faster Than Light, Wasteland 2, Shadowrun Returns, and Broken Age, but I feel that it seems like it's a coin flip sometimes.Snake wrote:What's Kickstarter? Speaking of coins...
I didn't donate to that one, although I do approve of what he did with the money for the most part. I don't think anyone else would have been as pleasant about it as that guy was.BetaB17 wrote:So no potato salad kickstarters AKB?
No joke, but kickstarter had its value.. the problem being that it could be abused. You had to be wise, and even then there were risks. Strictly speaking it held its worth with committed communittes and less so to broad groups.. I mean if an artist and his fanbase are at good terms and trust then great but I hold speculation to those who wish to prey on quick cash or severily underestimate the skill needed to meet thier promises<_< in short I love and hate it
