Argonian skeletons

This ESO NPC just brings to light something that has long caused immersion issues for me, personally. I can accept the possibility that beast race tails are boneless as one reason why we've never seen a skeleton with such an appendage, but I just can't buy a lizard head having a decidedly human skull beneath its flesh.
Just as the Tsaesci were supposed to be metallic-scaled snake-vampires until Oblivion, this seems like a gaffe.
What say you?

Re: Argonian skeletons
I saw this is just an oversight. I don't think there is any way to assume that argonians, khajiit, or even orcs (they have clearly visible tusks) would the same skull or even the rest of their body. I wouldn't read too much into a skeleton placed in ESO as being a cannon statement about argonian physiology.

Re: Argonian skeletons
In this specific case, it's probably less of a gaffe and more a case of deciding not to create a resource that was only going to get used once or twice and which wasn't of huge importance to the plot.
In the case of the Tsaesci skeletons at Pale Pass, that more than likely represents an evolving retcon on Akavir more so than laziness. They've increasingly been depicted as humanoid in the most recent games, especially by having armor that supposedly originated there but which can be worn by Tamrielic races.

Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

There's actually a Skyrim mod that adds these, so for anyone else this has really bothered in the past, at least you can have them in Skyrim. Haven't found anything for the other games though. :\

Why not make a headless skeleton?Pilaf The Defiler wrote:In this specific case, it's probably less of a gaffe and more a case of deciding not to create a resource that was only going to get used once or twice and which wasn't of huge importance to the plot. ...
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

I don't know? I'm not a dev. Just not super nitpicky. They're bound to have another AMA sometime this year. Why not ask them?

Re: Argonian skeletons
Like I said, it's not even the tail that troubles me. All these games, the only skeletal remains you ever see are human or elven, clearly evidenced by the fact that even without tail bones, there's no way that a beast race has a human-looking skull. Now, I could have accepted that betmeri don't have traditional bones that linger in the dusty tombs throughout the land, that maybe they dissolve or are of particular interest to vermin or are magically inclined to return to the matter from which they came or any other fine explanation.
What I can't abide is an Argonian ghost pointing to a heap of man bones, including a very round skull featuring front-facing orbital cavities and blunt teeth, going, "yep, that's my corpse right there."

I was more implying that she wasn't very lizardlike because of it, but yeah, maybe she was tripping.
