Hello, I'm already quite long here but never posted a lot. So I'm half-new, you could say. I've logged in much on this site and know a lot about it so I'm not new actually on the forum. But with posting, kinda.
If you like to know more about me, you can check that topic about yourself and your interests.

Welcome Regin, as for oldest, not sure. I won't state mine, however you could say I am a member of the Grey Manes and semi-retired if that makes you feel any better? (pretty dang retired). 8)

I'm out.

Please note that I'll still be present for a few extra days while I gather my drafts, unfinished role plays, contacts, etc. which means that I will still be able to respond to any PMs that may be sent.

Good bye, UESPF.

No, I’m not back. Though I have to admit that the past few months I have lurked the forum on occasion. Some events of the past week caught my eye prompting me to pay a bit more attention than usual. Not going to comment on what has been going on here but I will say all the recent goodbyes have made me regret not saying anything when I left.

That being said, I do miss UESP to a certain degree. Both the escape and support the community provided in what was quite possibly the most difficult phase I have experienced in my life means a lot to me. The fact that on some occasions people I don’t even particularly like were able to offer me a kind word speaks a lot about the community here. Whatever frustrating [&@%!] that may go on here much of the time it seems that when something important is brought up here the petty games and egos get put aside for a moment and we can talk to each to other like people.

Fact is there are more people I like here than dislike but it doesn’t change my feeling that there is a toxic dynamic that it seems more than a few people are sensitive to. So those that I interacted with regularly here I just wanted to let you that I do miss you and though we’ve both seen a few bad moments in the past months both Uno and I are doing well. To everyone here I wish you the best and I hope that the forum returns to being a community where everyone feels welcome and comfortable.

Ri'Zahr: That was extremely random, but I'm sorry to see you go, man. Hopefully, you'll decide to come back.

p-sto: Hey, man. We miss you too. Both of you. Tell uno I said "Hey."

Abel: Haven't seen you in a while. Welcome back.

It does indeed make me a bit said to see all the sudden leave and goodbyes :(
But by all means I do(or will) miss plenty that have, be they friend, not so much of a friend.. and possible foe :wat: and so I have to say I embrace the same wish that p-sto has said, to where all the stress is smoothed out and the leisure resumes in comfort.

Though, with sincerity, I do so miss my friend Uno-chan.. but Skype has been up-most unkind ;-; however it is a bliss to hear both Uno and yourself are doing fine.
Please with some regards, do say hi for thee

However grim and grey aside, it is nice to see a returning face. And with that I say welcome :D need I say more? No, but you can have a cookie

Bye, Ri'Zahr. With Br3ad, Linkuya, and now you gone, the General subforum will be a lot emptier. :(

On a lighter note, welcome back, Abel! And to p-sto, it's good to see you stopping by, even if it was just a brief visit. All the best to you and Uno.
Start the groove.

Frost Mage wrote:I'm sick of it. I'm [&@%!] SICK of it. I'm sick of people getting asshurt because I don't like the way that they're moderating a forum. I don't dislike you, hate you, or want to have an argument with you. It's just that everyone is in defense mode 24/7 around here, and NOTHING will change if people aren't willing to change. I have a problem with the way you have been moderating these forums, I'm not trying to cut you down. Don't hang the age card over my head either, age has nothing to do with any of this. I'm not insulting you, I'm [&@%!] the hell off at how things are being run.

I'm sick of this place. It's a mess. Just goes to show that ignoring something DOES NOT make it go away. And maybe that vocal minority wasn't such a minority after all. Maybe it's say... 90% of the forum. At this rate, people will be leaving every day, and it's just going to get worse as people start losing their friends and the freaking enjoyment that a forum should be accompanied by. I want things to change, and you know why I have a bad taste in my mouth, and why I might have been [&@%!] with you? Because I've seen nothing but disrespect and false insincerity for so long, and I'm so sick of standing by and being too afraid to speak up. A lot of it is probably misplaced anger towards people who don't deserve it, and I'm sorry for that. I truly am. I'm sorry if I hurt you, because that was never my intent, and going forward, if someone criticizes your moderating abilities, don't take it as a personal attack, listen to it and try to understand where said user is coming from. It's harder said than done, to detach your personal feelings from your quote-un-quote professional life, but the inability to do just that is why the forums are where they are now.

On to part two. This forum and everything that it is currently made up of is utter [&@%!]. The passive aggression, the bullying, the insults, the inability to listen, and I mean really LISTEN to what users have to say, it's too much. Why is it that very few people are having fun anymore? Is your flexing of power really worth killing a forum? Is it really worth it to stir up more resentment than I've ever seen in my entire life, on an internet forum no less? Is sticking to your guns really the best answer to when everyone seems to have a problem with how things are being run?

UESP, you're my home on the internet, and now that home has turned vile and full of hatred, resentment, and aggression. Something NEEDS to be done. I don't want my home to go to waste. I'd love to leave and never look back, but being as attached as I am, I'll probably stick around for a while to read all of the lovely PMs I'll be getting for this post, and to let myself cool down. But don't think that this is me saying goodbye and then sticking around for a while is just an excuse to speak my mind, it's not. I want to leave this place, but it's so hard, because it used to be so great. So I'm going to try my hardest to keep myself away. But like I've said, I have so many good friends here that I don't want to lose. Forums have a way of keeping people together. Without it I find myself unable to keep up with all of my social ties. But change needs to come, and it needs to come soon.

I'd say goodbye, but dammit, I can't ever leave this place, can I. I'll most likely be still around for a while, unless things get worse - and I feel like they will - so feel free to PM me. Like I said, I'm going to try to distance myself from this place, but we'll see how that goes. I love you all.

~Frosty
Frosty: I suppose it's goodbye then. It's a real pity I only began speaking to you two weeks ago because we probably would've got on well enough if you'd stayed.
