Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Spent most of my day testing and troubleshooting a mod for Skyrim.
Eh... More like 90% of the day. I was quite focused on it and didn't realize just how much time had passed.
I was going to clean the fish tanks earlier, but it was too cold. And I didn't have enough water jugs.
Now I have the third jug required, so I should be able to clean them tomorrow. Assuming it isn't too cold.
Anyway, I'm off to bed now. It's pretty much 12:30am.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Realized that it's eight days until our moving truck takes off, and we have quite a bit of packing left to do. And by "we," I of course mean myself. This wasn't so bad, but I forgot that I'll be out of town this weekend to visit my grandmother, so now I'll be pulling some late nights to make sure things are put away nice and securely.
However, my brother and I are going to spit into tubes for science! Can't wait to get that genome mapped.

Wow, that's a really cool program, AtoM. Are they supposed to be used for schoolwork only, or can you do whatever you want with them?

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Today... Was a hectic day.
I made up a entire talk on a book, that lasted ten minutes, and was fairly coherent. I am proud but was dreading it, for, so, long.
I went back to school on Tuesday and it's really... Urgh. Fine but not fine, in the plus side, I wrote a page's worth of story, and it's fairly deep the way I'm thinking it can go, which makes rainbow fox happy.
I've also learned that I've became much more sensitive to emotions, like I'll cry a lot more, this makes me happy and sad, because I'm growing up. Oh well, to shave off this ungainly wisp that's growing on my upper lip.
Peace and hate guys, my update on my life.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Today I went home, eager to have the house to myself (my family's camping, but I decided to work and make money for the rest of the week, I only have a week left in my internship after all).
And then a storm came through and the power went out.
And of course since they're camping, my family's taken all the flashlights and batteries and matches and everything. I was thinking I'd have to eat poptarts or something for supper, because we emptied the fridge before they left, and they even took all the bread with them, so no PB&J. (I was originally planning on making pizza - and will still now that the power's back - but we didn't plan for power outages for these two nights while I'm home!)

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I finally got around to cleaning the fish tanks earlier. Did it faster than normal, but at least it's done now.
Still had to deal with water pressure issues, though.
Anyway, I spent most of my day trying to troubleshoot the issue with one of the mods I was trying. I was getting rather tired of my Skyrim being wrecked by the presence of the E3 demo, so I spent my time trying to figure out why that was happening. That got absolutely nowhere. Although other people have reported the same problem. It's not as common as some of the other glitches, but it's a serious enough one that it will break whatever save is exposed to it.
I was going to do some writing but, as usual, I got distracted. So I'll just go to bed.

Okay so I'm going up to the pool hall. My nemesis will be there, he generally beats me every time but just barely. I've been crushing him in 9 ball which is ironic cause I don't like 9ball as much as 8.
So everyone think of pool balls going into pockets and me being awesome, then direct that psychic energy towards me. Let's see if it works. I need that voodoo joojoo magic on my side.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Well, I was planning on finishing my Stalhrim textures today, but I never got around to it.
Instead, I tested a new moon texture for Skyrim. And that's pretty much all I did for actual playing today.
Around noon, I was informed that my mother was going into town to look for some new clothes. She asked if I wanted to come along, and I said yes because I'm in desperate need of new pants (because most of mine have been torn apart by my brother's dog). Spent pretty much the whole afternoon looking around town. I only found two pairs of pants; one pair of pseudo dress pants that I could wear out of the house, and one pair of yoga pants I could wear at home. Other than that, I found four new tank tops I could wear to bed (again, most of my old ones are falling apart) and one other random top that I thought went along pretty well with those pseudo dress pants.
As soon as I got home, I went to work trying to repair the two and a half inch tear in the pants I had been wearing around town. Never got to finish. I cannibalized a more severely battered pair of pants (which are now shorts and meant for sleeping in) for fabric I could use to patch the other pants up, but just as I was about to start sewing, my dad came home... With my brother's dog. I had to take everything and shove it away before the dog could wreck anything. Again. As usual. Happens every bloody time.
Of course, my brother was stupid enough that he didn't give us any extra food to feed the dog while she was here (she's going back tomorrow. We are NOT keeping her here again. She is my brother's responsibility, and we refuse to 'help' him any further. If he cannot take care of his dog, he will suffer the consequences). She got about a half cup of food and, at this stage of her development, she needs closer to two. My dad had to go to the store and buy a new bag of food just so we could give her the right amount.
I think my brother owes us a few hundred for the dog alone right now. Payment for babysitting the animal, for all the supplies needed to clean up after it, the loss of our sanity, vet bills... The usual.
Of course, then we add on the costs of his insurance (that my parents have to pay. It's over 10,000 a year because he's an idiot and constantly acts like an entitled arse around the police, getting him tickets that we have to pay. Not only that but he speeds, has illegal parts on his truck... You get the idea), his truck, his rent, his food, and pretty much everything. I wonder when he's going to realize that our parents are not a bank? Their money has run out. He will soon have no choice but to fend for himself, as he should have done so long ago. My mother is only enabling his foolish actions by paying his tickets, his insurance, his rent... Perhaps if she forced him to take care of himself she could have enough money to pay the bills. As it stands, we don't have enough for us. Never mind him.
Hmph. And now I'm just irritating myself by thinking about my brother-from-hell.
I'm just going to add my Stalhrim mask into the game and then go to bed. It's getting late and I'm both exceedingly tired and annoyed.
My good mood was spoiled by the arrival of my brother's dog.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I walked into a comic book store for the first time yesterday, since it is 2:32 AM now. Pretty neat place too, there were roleplaying games going on as well so it was a bit loud, but it was cool to catch a glimpse at that kind of roleplaying. As far as the comics went, nice and large selection and I was going to get a comic, but I didn't know what to get.

Pen 'n' paper and the D&D type stuff. The building was to small for LARP. There were like 15 different games going on at the same time too.Frost Mage wrote:Was it LARPing, or were they just talking?

As far as Ri'Zahr could tell, there were different universes being roleplayed in. Each game had a separate table for itself, though that doesn't mean that some games weren't in the same universe.Frost Mage wrote:That's cool. Have any idea on what universe they were roleplaying in?
