Yesterday I sent an email to some ladies in Berlin who were looking for a roommate. I got a reply today; rejected. :c

It's okay. I'll resume the search tomorrow. And get rejected more, probably. It's a tough life.

Vitamin C and B6 help, too.
Today I suggested taking vitamins for a sore throat.

^^ Smarty pants! I don't have B6 but I do Vit C...which I should have started taking days ago when I ignored the sore throat. Now look.
Today, I wondered what took my husband 2 hrs at the store. Chix soup isn't that hard to find.

Firstly, it wouldn't hurt to get some sun or add leafy greens into your soup<_< maybe a salad? I know other means that I use to beat the sick>_> but not advised..
Secondly... boy do I love pain killers ^_^ don't judge me>_< when you go through whole years with sever pulmonary pains and what not, you'll take passion in the days it all gets numbed out.. then again I have good reason for these pills<_< still hurts like [&@%!], but namely when I'm bending or laying down. Luckily I'm use to internal damage, so it's second nature to me on what to do..
On a lighter note, I probably shouldn't be working in my condition. Ended up grabbing some cans and went wasp hunting =___= destroyed 27 nests. Dam buggers just are too hard to route out. Leave just one nest alone, and they build an army. Don't really do much good for the eco either, not like bees in the sense. They pester off all other life and generally cause damage and are overly aggressive<_< may be why their more successful than bees too, not so dependent on a single hive

Today I bought myself a cute necklace, and since I haven't given the interior of my car a good cleaning since buying it a couple weeks ago, I spent something like 7 hours today giving it a real thorough one, vacuuming and Armor-All-ing every little nook and cranny. It actually feels more like a "new" car now.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I was going to clean my fish tanks out earlier, but I decided against it when the water pressure dropped to almost nothing. It simply would have taken too long to fill a single jug of water, never mind the 4-6 it can take to refill the tanks.
So I guess I really didn't do that much today. Worked on a few more textures and did some reading. Not very eventful.
Though apparently one of my brother's scorpions had mini-scorpions. He's probably going to sell them to the pet store. Pretty much the only thing he can do with them.
I was going to do some writing, but I'm too tired. I guess it's just time to go to bed.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Yeaaaaah, Tribunal. Great expansion, great expansion.
Yesterday we drove out to Hershey to have a fun afternoon with the better half's father. It was actually rather nice: roamed around the botantical gardens and then had a delicious and amazing dinner at this seafood grill. I tried barramundi for the first time. It was delicious...even better with a good bottle of wine. Mmmm, mmmmm.

Today I taught my year-and-a-half old nephew that zombies say "braaaaaains". So right now he knows that sheep go "baaaaaa", cats go "meow", zombies go "braaaaaains" and sharks go "dun-dun-dun-dun" (to the tune from "Jaws"). That last one was his dad though, not me. And he refuses to say the names of colours in Polish, because English words are easier.

Um. Started school today, um, damn English teacher is... Um. Yeah, she repeats 'um' before, um, in between, um, and, um, after every god damn mother [&@%!], ummmmm... Sentence, yeah. So, um, it was 9:00 AM and, um, here I was thinking, "Oh my [&@%!] god! Talk like a proper English teacher!" And, um, it was [&@%!] ridiculous. Um, I'm like so [&@%!] enraged by my English teacher's nasty habit that I'm going to post about in the Rant thread. Ummmmm, yeah.

I went to the Global Leadership Summit a couple weeks ago, and one lady (not a guest speaker, but a speaker introducer) was introed as "great with words". Her first word? "Um." My boss and I laughed at that.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Since the word "um" plays an important role in conversation (it notifies the other parties that you have more to say, and that it's not yet their turn to speak), I think we can forgive people for using it occasionally - as their first word, even - in speeches. Obviously Ri'Zahr is talking about someone who uses it excessively, which, naturally, is going to be annoying, but using any word excessively is annoying. I had this teacher who used the word "essentially" all the time. He always used it correctly, but it still really bothered me for some reason...

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I woke up this morning with my throat nearly closed from how swollen it is.
YAY!!!
I still have a fever, though a lighter one than yesterday. I don't think the double hot toddy's worked at all in making my throat feel better. So herbs herbs herbs...mostly from my garden mixed with stronger ones. I have no idea if I'll be able to make it to work tomorrow, chances are probably not. I don't even feel that sick besides the occasional cough-fest and this burning sensation in my throat. How annoying.

Sorry to hear that Dov >: If I could, I would treat you<_< but I only know so much..
So.. today is not my day... tried making pulled pork.. ended up burning my right on the oven.. got a long line over my knuckle.. ends up the pork was still undercooked by time for dinner.. so French Toast<_< not use to making such a big batch.. so the butter on the pan was only getting hotter than normal.. When I went to add a new coat.. BUTTER BURN!! All.. over.. my hand.. got 2nd degree burn on my finger where it got the worse.. got multiple splots of 1st. I have been burned by many things, but my Ma knew it was bad if I jumped higher than the counter

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Let the hedgehog out this morning so it could wander around the living room again. Apparently it decided to climb onto the bottom shelf of the TV stand and take a crap in front of the pictures. At least a hedgehog is easier to clean up after than a dog.
Anyway, I didn't really do much today. Played some Skyrim, did some writing... The usual. In other words: I can't really remember what I did earlier.
I did have an eye appointment earlier. After going through all the usual tests, it was determined that there hasn't been a single change in the prescription that I require. I'm just glad I don't have to get new glasses again.
Meh. I'm just going to go to bed. Too tired to stay up any longer.

Ah well. had a big, hour long argument with my bigger brother today, that ended up spanning practically everything, and achieving absolutely nothing. Delightful.
Eh, at least it's a good anger release.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
I was finishing up the trim in the guest room and I accidentally spilled a huge puddle of red paint all. Over. The. Room.
Thankfully I had a tarp down, so instead of ruining our brand new carpet, it ruined the tarp...but trying to figure out how to get out of the room and into the kitchen, which is down our (also nice, new) carpeted steps, was quite a challenge. I looked like something out of a bad Godzilla movie, with all that paint!

Laughed at my wife saying she had to be in at work early all this week.
I've been going to work at 5:30 for the past week, and she thinks 7:00 is early.
