Re: Logical inconsistencies in Skyrim
Speaking of bandits walking around in mountains, how come frost damage can take out a dragon but Paarthy can live in the most freezing place in all Tamriel and survive? Makes no sense.

Frost beats dragon because... I dunno, Pokemon logic?
Anyway, it confounds me how, in addition to being the only one to be able to absorb dragon souls, the Dragonborn is also the only person who knows how to jump in Skyrim.

Not true. You can actually witness NPCs jumping off ledges occasionally.Ebony Dragon wrote: Anyway, it confounds me how, in addition to being the only one to be able to absorb dragon souls, the Dragonborn is also the only person who knows how to jump in Skyrim.

I meant like actually jumping. Like, hitting Triangle on the PS3, or Y on the Xbox.

Re: Logical inconsistencies in Skyrim
Has anyone ever actually witnessed an NPC using their daily racial power? I've vever seen it once.If followers and boss characters utilized this the game would be more realistic.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

I thought Orcs use their racial power. Whenever they perform a Power Attack my characters lost a lot of blood. Once in Cragslane Cave[?] ,the place with pit wolves, one of orc attendant that was equipped with elven sword, power attacked me. My Bosmer died instantly , and he was wearing heavy armor.Mattbott wrote:i used to think Orcs used their berserk skill in Skyrim but come to think of it can't actually remember a specific instance where one has

Re: Logical inconsistencies in Skyrim
You can fix that with SkyRe - one module changes NPCs and the way they use their skills. They all use racial powers and are much smarter about using their gear and spells too. Which also means that you get killed much more often.

Re: Logical inconsistencies in Skyrim
Using Turn Undead on sentient ghosts, such as Haknir's Crew, will cause them to talk big and ghostly whilst running away and cowering, due to lack of demoralized dialogue for ghosts.

That's because you're meant to kill them not demoralise them.

Re: Logical inconsistencies in Skyrim
Actually that's another logical inconsistency - you're supposed to be the hero, but there's no way to actually accept a surrender? All you can do is either run away from a panicking NPC or kill them - not very heroic.

Do any enemies actually surrender for real? I was under the impression they'll always attack you again if you leave them long enough.

In the same way that fire can kill things even if they don't mind hot weather. I prefer to think that frost affects the mind - it's like the freezing adrenaline rush you get when you realize you got passed over for a promotion by an incompetent nitwit or that your ex wife didn't love you after all. Sucks all the stamina right outta ya.

The option to spare a bandit pleading with for his life would have nice though.DikaSmausha wrote:You don't have to be the hero.dzio wrote:Actually that's another logical inconsistency - you're supposed to be the hero, but there's no way to actually accept a surrender? Unless you're drink a small red potion, then you're up and about in the span of three seconds after the yellow light swirls around you.

For some reason if you have no allegiance in the war soldiers from both sides will let you take potions and whatnot from their camps. Don't they need those?
