Nuah was annoyed with the girl Aveline, how could she be so dumb?

"What is all this about cursing people?" asked Pierre uneasily, wondering what exactly they'd wandered into.

"What would you say to becoming my new First Mate?" asked Francis, who was in need of a First Mate now that William was to become Captain of the HMS Imperator... once he had received his captaincy, that was, though that was a trivial matter.

Your greed will be your downfall. It will consume you, change you, and leave you to be alone for the rest of your days. If you fail to keep it in check, you will suffer greatly. Aveline heard within herself, nothing around her changed. "I will explain, I suppose." The Old Man said as he recounted the story of the island. "I will not curse Nathaniel, nor his sister. Well, not actively. I will leave my full power and responsibility with Nathaniel here." The Old Man laughed.

"That's a possibility, sir." The quartermaster answered.

"So what exactly are we signing on for?" Jacob asked.

Rafael let go of Aveline. He wasn't sure about anyone anymore. The Spaniard fiddled with his hammer nervously.

"Most likely to be cursed so he can enjoy the treasure without having to share it." Aveline said to Jacob in a suspecting manner.

The Inner Sanctum
"Absolutely nothing! Isn't that great! All of you help yourselves to the gems upstairs!" The Old Man announced. "Except you. You don't get to pick up anything. Charitable gifts excluded." He said pointing at Aveline.

"Why?" Aveline asked in an annoyed manner.

"What about Nathaniel, does that mean he and his sister will be stuck here without being able to sail once more? I for one don't want to see either the two stuck here." Nuah questioned, concerned.

"Also one more question, if you please, exactly how can we return what we take as in honoring? Stones, stories?" Nuah asked.

Rafael began to sweat a little at the thought of all those gems.

Angeline, who had been silent the whole time looked at The Old Man. "Why are the spirits so restless here?" She asked simply.

"Then, you can consider yourself my new First Mate, though, I shall need your name. William, once the HMS Osprey is in working condition, you can consider yourself the captain of the HMS Imperator. It is only right that you take command, being the nephew of our great King George." stated Francis.

"The Osprey, Francis? Doesn't the name seem drab?" William replied, before realising what Francis said. "The Imperator? Why sir, I shall miss you."

"You are correct, William. I shall rename the ship the HMS Valiant, if that is acceptable." responded Francis. "And I shall miss you too, William. Our partnership was rather successful, I must say. One victory and no losses."

"Two reasons. I don't like you, and you're greedy. Though I might not like you because you are greedy." The Old Man contemplated and spoke to Aveline. Nathaniel was holding back laughter. Then the Old Man turned to Nuah. "He can go anywhere he wants. The title is a mere formality after today. And Sarah, as sweet as she may be, gets nothing from me. I didn't raise her." He shrugged. "They are anxious for the release of their masters. Best not keep them waiting, eh?" He said to Angeline. "Any more questions?" He yelled out.
William and Francis
"Jonathan Smith, at your service." The now First Mate replied.

'I still don't know your real name' Nuah though to hereself, 'I wonder if you know, Nathaniel?' "Farewell, wherever you go, Wizard the Lorekeeper" Nuah spoke. 'And you still didn't tell me how to honor them, so perhaps a story and some stones'

Call me Tom. And they are satisfied that you opened the door. They feel as though they owe a debt to you, and all those that helped. Nuah heard within her.

"And I am at yours." replied Francis. "Now, men, you are all good sailors. You gave me the closest run battle of my life. It was certainly an experience, I must say. Such skill cannot be allowed to be lost. You shall all be absolved of crime and you shall return to your posts immediately. Your first order is to repair this ship and have it ready for sailing as soon as possible. Some of you shall also be sent to the HMS Imperator to repair the damage sustained there, and also to the HMS Equaliser."

'Well Tom, Nechempa Eist, Farewell and Goodnight.' Nuah thought and wished him well wherever he went. 'And thank you.' She thought.

"This is some weird...faerie-tale [&@%!]." Rafael finally decided, and headed back up the stairs to the pile of gemstones as he shook his head in disapproval of all of the magic and supernatural goings-on.

[Dirty Spaceman]

Pierre silently agreed with Rafael, but working on the same ship with a witch doctor had made him at least a little bit accustomed to supernatural shenanigans. He remained in the Inner Sanctum to wait for whatever was going to happen.

Rafael filled his pockets with gemstones, and left the temple. Assuming he wouldn't be cut in half by any devious traps and that the gemstones wouldn't crumble to dust, he pressed two into the hand of every man (and woman) he passed by on the way to his tent.

Jenghis rushed into the chamber with gemstones and quickly dived into them. Laughing maniacally, he tossed a few gemstones out of the temple, and started filling his mouth with them.

By the way, I'll be less active starting saturday. Leaving town, for a week--I'll still be posting at least once or twice a day, but...Yeah.
