I don't really like how Capcom did the Affinity thing at all. Some people end up getting merchants over characters that have some depth due to the fact that every time you talk to someone their affinity rises.

Would reccomend doing DA around level 40+ as i've heard that is what it's aimed at. I think i'll do the rest of it during the post game. I'm surprised that DD doesn't have any LOTR easter eggs. Wonder if DA has a Balrog that we can battle? I may be obessesd with Balrogs in fantasy RPGs.

The 40 dollar tag is keeping me away from this one. One extra area and a extra few bells and whistles to Gransys is not enough to make me rebuy the game. Should have been a 10 dollar DLC at the most

So i've completed Griffon's bane. Just need to report back to the person. The journey there was challenging. Defeated my first golem. Took so long that it was morning by the time i arrived at windbluff tower. That golem fight was epic. Bandits joined in and i defeated them both.

Deciding tio stick with magicl archer till i get those awesome passives about 7k discipline each. then going for Assassin.

Also, sacrificial bolt? I can't think of a good enough situation for me to be carrying that around.

Sacrificial bolt seems a bit... eh..
I recommend Regeneration, it's such a good passive from MA. 1hp per 3 secs.. sure not a lot.. but every little helps.

Completed Witch Hunt. Interesting bit of lore regarding pawns. It seems like that main pawns act as a soul gem but end up taking on their master's form and become human. Does this mean that they end up becoming their master? Or just the physical form? Also, why is Selene completely different from her mistress?

I've discovered that i'm starting to dislike golems. They are fun to fight but the plate on their hand is annoying. Also, chimeras are laughably easy with my party. It literally takes a minute for me to kill one. I always cut the tail off then focus on the goat and it is pretty much dead when my mage pawn unleashes fire on it. Combine that with a hundred kisses by scalding razors(flaming daggers) and it is renderd defenceless. Bit disappointing actually. Going to set up a portcrystal outside of Windbluff tower as it didn't occur to me to do that when i was there as well as shadow fort and the abbey then invest in some ferrystones. With Dark Arisen, they are only 2 grand per stone and the black cat sells them. Going to put the main quest on hold as i've skipped a few sidequests and there are some interesting ones i suspect. Combined a lot of stuff in storage. Need to get into the habit of doing that and limit my inventory space to average wieght.

May explore Cursewood later. Am loving this game and it knows how to do boss battles properly. Whilst i love TES, boss battles is not it's strongest point nor is combat. DD's strongest point is it's combat. Am hoping there will be a DD2 and it's plot is more detailed as well as a city being attacked by a horde of monsters as i believe Capcom could pull it off.

No, they aren't like soul gems, an Arisen can simply give a pawn a part of their soul. This cause the pawn to look like them overtime, but only until they reached the point that they look as the Arisen did when they became Arisen. Never trully human, always unaging, but they grow emotion and free will. Arisen do not give up their entire soul because they go on to a higher purpose.
Spoiler:
Arisen become the source of all will, the Seneschal, god.

Or get eaten by a dragon. The pawn does deserve it as they are their master's most trusted pawn and may even be considered a friend to them.

He faced the Dragon, alone, and lost, but unlike most, he did not become Dragonkin. He is in between life and death.

Crap, so Vimora(can't remeber how it is spelt, that bloke who you rescue many times and give herbs to during a sidequest) has that pink aura. Damn, I've given Quina the Arisen's bond and am hoping that she will be the love interest. Am doing the duchess in distress quest and it seems that my arisen is torn between Quina and Aelinore. I'm roleplaying that to explain why she had sex with the Duke's wife. It's implied during that scene. Am about to start Deny Salvation.

I have. I've also given her her favourite herbs before giving her the ring. Did her final quest and she was the first to have the pink aura. Will try to lower his affinity to avoid him being the LI. I don't mind if Aelinore ends up as my Arisen has had sex with her but would prefer for her to have her childhood friend as the LI.

The LAST person you max affinity with is your LI. It doesn't matter who you give the Arisen's Bond to; that only maxes affinity.
