Re: What Elder Scrolls race are you?
The Dunmer hail from Morrowind, and are known for their isolationist views and xenophobia. You are very intelligent, yet reserved to most people. You have a strong loyalty to your family and your own kind. Other people may view you badly, but you hold true to your family values and your beliefs ...

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Powered my Smithing up to 100 so I could make Dragonscale armor and a Dragonbone sword, enchanted with soul trap. I named it Zahkriisil ("sword" and "soul" in dragon tongue).
I cannot wait to start killing the crap out of everything with this sword. I'm legit giddy over it.

Re: Skyrim Moments You Just Have to Share!
Background: I've been doing some of the miscellaneous Dawnguard quests. I currently only have one mod installed on my PS4, to have multiple followers. My followers are Faendal, Lydia, Rayya, J'zargo, and Brelyna Maryon (who is my wife).

I'll throw an unpopular one out there: General Tullius. I dig grumpy salt-and-pepper generals.

I wish their essential status would go away, too. Like, you'd be able to complete the Paarthurnax quest by either killing Paarthurnax (wtf whyyyy) or killing off the Blades.

Re: Rayya won't dual-wield
Well, as far as I know Bloodscythe and Soulrender are scimitars, albeit enchanted ones. Do you mean she only dual-wields plain ol' regular scimitars? If so, that's...really disappointing. :/

Rayya won't dual-wield
I thought I'd have Rayya follow me around for a bit, so I gave her Bloodscythe and Soulrender to wield because HELLO AWESOMENESS. But even if in the middle of actual combat, she won't dual-wield them. At first she was automatically wielding one sword and a torch, so I took the torch from her in ...

This coworker hardly ever shows up, and shows up tremendously late when she does come in. Any complaints to a supervisor results in "We'll talk with her" and "We'll mention it in her review." Like, three years of this B.S. is waaaaayyyy too long. What does this girl have to do to get fired already ...

Re: The dilemma of NPC beauty
I really, really appreciate this post and thread. It really is weird to me how many mods are out there (and how many players insist on everyone and their mom using them) just to "pretty" up the game. Landscapes? Yup, I totally get it. But the fact that there are mods to make even the kids look ...

Being treated like a newb by the College/Companions/etc even when I've completed all their quests and ave risen to the top in each of them.

Re: Favorite Quest/Questline and Why
I only ever saw someone else playthrough the Dragonborn DLC, and at first I thought it was lame and anticlimactic. Then I realized, it was because the player I was watching did literally every single side quest possible on Solstheim and dragged it out for as long as possible before battling Miraak ...

Re: What do you dislike about Skyrim?
Skyrim is my first and only ES game, so I know most responses will be "lolololol that's Bethesda for you" and/or "suck it up, you silly console gamer, and download some mods," but I guess in all my years of gaming I've never encountered a developer who left all of the bug-fixing and innovation to ...

Re: Skyrim Moments You Just Have to Share!
I'm working on getting the Platinum trophy for Skyrim on PS4, therefore no mods and no console commands. One of the trophies is to craft something out of Stahlrim. Cool; I spend 5-6 hours leveling up my Smithing from 18 to 80 to get the Ebony perk (needed for Stahlrim smithing). Then I go to start ...

Unusual Gems, if stolen...
I think I'm finally going to tackle the No Stone Unturned quest, but I have a question: if I steal one of the Unusual Gems, then get caught by a hold guard and agree to pay off my bounty, what happens to the gem I stole? Does it stay in my inventory because it's a quest item, or does it go into the ...

Re: What do you dislike about Skyrim?
But my biggest complaint was the blah/meh/ugh nature of the followers. They were so boring and shallow. Yawn. Give me more dialogue options with them. I loved the way they did Serana! She was so interesting and the more she trusted you, the more of her backstory she shared. It's why she's my ...

Re: Skyrim Moments You Just Have to Share!
I completed "Ill Met by Moonlight," skinning Sinding and receiving the Savior's Hide as a reward. Weeks later at about 4am (all in-game) I'm walking towards Whiterun when I see a guard...being followed...by a werewolf. I was able to sneak-attack the werewolf with an arrow and ran over to search the ...

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Yes, I mean fan-made DLC, not any of Bethesda's official DLC. Apparently there's a change where only DLC that's available through the Steam Store can be installed, or something like that. I've actually never tried any of the fan-made DLC in any of the other ES games yet, so I guess it's no big deal ...

I'm still not 100% clear on the deal with Skyrim Special Edition as far as adding DLC, but I guess I'll find out-- and hopefully my original Skyrim will still be available if I want it for some reason.

Re: The Skyrim Character Discussion thread
I find Delphine to be the worst character in Skyrim because of how flat she is. Just consists of condensing and using stupid reasoning that the Thalmor are behind dragons. If the Thalmor had dragns, the civil war wouldn't be needed for their plans. Just raze Skyrim to the ground, head to the ...

Re: Skyrim Moments You Just Have to Share!
Granted, it happened a while ago, but it was my very first character and I was starting out with the College of Winterhold QL. I had Faendal as a follower and was about level 7-8 when I was clearing out Saarthal. I got to the chamber of Jyrik Gaulderson and was running away so my magicka could ...
