Re: Dragonborn "the final descent"

Hmm, before today the wiki had a description in the Notes section of the Bloodskal Barrow page, but nothing on the Raven Rock Mine page and only a very short explanation on the quest page itself. The notes from the first of these have now been copied to the others, do you think this is more helpful ...

You can see all of his dialogue on a table on this page. Aside from a few "neutral" responses, he's pretty much just a jerk.

Re: Dragonborn DLC - not absorbing souls

If any of you have this issue and have the Unofficial SKyrim Patch, that's likely the source of the problem. You can either remove that, or install the new Unofficial DragonBorn Patch to solve it.

Another culprit mod is "Dragon Soul Absorb More Glorious", so if you have that removing it should fix ...

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread

My son walked for the very first time!!! He only walked a few steps, and I don't think he even realized that he'd done it. I tried and tried to get him to do it again so I could get a picture, but no luck. Very exciting, though!

Re: Anyone with some cool tattoos? :D

I have three so far.

1: The word "truth" on my left wrist
2: The infinity symbol ( ∞ ) behind my left ear

3: The coat of arms from the Mexican flag (eagle on cactus with snake in its mouth) on the top right side of my back. My avatar is actually something based on that coat of arms that my friend ...

Re: Cannot build winstad manor (Hearthfire dlc)

The problem is probably the quest not advancing from the drafting table to the carpenter's workbench but still allowing you to build things as if it had advanced.
Try using "getstage BYOHHouseHjaalmarch" (without the quotes) to see what stage of the "quest" you're on. It's likely you're stuck at ...

Re: Batch List for Hearthfire Homes

If you have a wiki account you could post it to your user page.

I have an account (obviously) for the forums. Is that the same?

No, you'd have to make a separate account. Having the ability to use the same account for both the wiki and forums has come up for discussion recently, but it will ...

Re: Hearthfire Steward

As an aside, I'm pretty impressed with Valdimar, the Housecarl for Windstad. I've never seen him indoors. It seems he spends all his time outside, and he roams far and wide as he protects the property. I've learned not to bow-snipe NPCs I see in the distance when I'm around Windstad's property. It ...

Thanks so much for answering these questions, Dave! I wasn't around the forums when this topic started, but it's fun to get to know some more things about you. And I think it's awesome that you get to do this full-time now. We love seeing you more active around the wiki. :D

Re: Hearthfire Steward

I briefly used Annekke as a Steward because I didn't know if there was a way to obtain the carriage, horse, cow and chickens without a Steward's help. After she took care of this stuff, I re-employed her as a Follower. Since then, I haven't been able to make her a Steward again. I don't know if ...

Re: The General Discussion Thread

DM is really niche for the RP subforum. I'm keeping it very forum specific, not subforum specific. Sorry guys. ;)

I actually had to google that one when someone mentioned it in IRC, but I understand what you mean about keeping it more general to the forums rather than specific to certain ...

Re: Hearthfire Steward

It doesn't give you any extras, though you don't have a choice of customization-- it simply gives you everything for the room you choose. And you can't undo anything. This means that if you don't want every single animal head on the wall (or if there's any other options you don't want), you get them ...

Re: The break of dawn - please help

Here's a list of suggestions from the quest page and talk page on the wiki:
* This is often caused by carrying too much weight. Try dropping a few things before taking the sword.
* Walk towards Meridia as soon as she has lifted you into the sky, thereby dropping onto the area at the base of the ...

Re: Gender you play as most?

I've only played as female twice and that was only to model the character after my gf. Other than that I play as male. I'm not gonna be some perverted guy making a girl and putting her in forsworn armor or ancient nord.

I almost always play as female, and I love putting on the Forsworn and ...

Re: How/when did you get into TES?

I picked up Oblivion when it first came out for the sole reason that I was sick of paying so much money for games that I didn't spend much time playing. I thought I could get a lot of hours in on Oblivion compared to other games of the same price, and I ended up being more right about that than I ...

Re: Am I the only one who HATES followers?

I always end up killing my followers by accident.... or sometimes on purpose. ;) But really, they get in my way more often than not. I enjoy playing one of my characters as stealthy as I can, and in general, I just enjoy doing my killing on my own. When it comes to trying to gain experience and ...
