Re: Skyrim mysteries

After killing Grelod, how are you taken to the Abandoned Shack, regardless of where you sleep?

I actually added this into a roleplay I was running. My goody-two-shoes was on Solstheim, and was kidnapped. As I was planning for this character to become a werewolf via the old Tales of Lycanthropy ...

Re: Skyrim mysteries

On a related note, I've always wondered what was up with that skeletal human torso that's lying on the road just outside Whiterun. What happened there, and why has no one bothered to clean up?

Whiterun is just creepy. It looks all nice, but then you find a skeleton floating in the moat under ...

Re: Far too many guards

The best time and place for me seems to be evening in Riften. Nothing quite like half the guards escorting you across town, weapons drawn, as they slowly walk to the training year.

Re: So...my bard can't sing...

Alas, he is still alive. This is my good, non-murdering character. Although, she has just been turned into a werewolf thanks to the Tales of Lycanthropy mod, so... :D

Eh, I'll give him until after I finish the main quest and can carry on with the Civil War. If he's still singing about the Imperials ...

Re: So...my bard can't sing...

It could be worse. Llewellyn the Nightingale delights in constantly singing "Age of Aggression" and dedicating his songs to the Imperials. Unfortunately, my staunch, heavy-armoured, greatsword-wielding Stormcloak doesn't quite have the same tastes...

Re: Did Bethesda just decide that they hated Khajiit?

Mr.Argonian wrote:It does make sense though. As an Argonian or Khajiit, why would you go to a land that most of the population despises you.
Why would they go to a land that most of the population either hated you, tortured you, or enslaved you? Yet they still appeared in Morrowind.

Re: Would a khajiit ally with the Empire or Nord Rebellion?

The great thing about Skyrim is that the potential for a character is unlimited, so really it comes down to how they would act.

Yep! My first Khajiit went with the Stormcloaks for the reasons I posted above, yet my new Khajiit merchant is staying neutral due to the fact that he finds more ...

Re: The Skyrim NPC Memorial Thread

RIP Reldith. Runa Sod-Digger, simple peasant that she is, could only stare in horror as those two Death hounds tore you apart. Stumbling away in an attempt to alert someone, her horror increased as she ran into Ennis and he asked "You talk to Reldith yet? She's like a mother to me."

As stupid as this sounds, if you've preordered it, where do you go on Steam to actually download/install it.

Re: Hearthfire homes

Llewellyn has a slight glitch in my game. He offers to sing 'Age of Oppression' for me, mentions how I must be a true Stormcloak to request that, then turns round and says "This is for Skyrim's staunch protectors, the Imperials", before singing 'Age of Aggression'. Not exactly the smartest idea ...

Re: Hearthfire homes

I've only tried Windstad Manor and Lakeview Manor so far. Of the two, I find Lakeview Manor to have the better view and is much easier to get to. It's just off the road between Falkreath and Helgen, whereas with Windstad Manor you have to wander through the swamps for a bit.

Re: Your Hopes For the Next DLC?

I'd actually like the next glc to be a simple one, like a Rebuilding Helgen dlc. Sort of like Hearthfire, except you can choose what shops/homes/services are there, rebuilding it piece-by-piece, and you can ask your followers if they would like to move in there.
Wouldn't require being some sort of ...

He's got plenty of both, and you're not just splitting hairs, youre splitting monofilament there.

Care to point out where? I've seen evidence of a prejudice on his part, but I'm yet to find ingame evidence of actual action on his part. Inaction doesn't really count, because it's hard to prove a ...

Anyway I think people who brand Ulfric as a racist are wrong.

He's making a negative value judgement (These people are not Nords, therefore I don't care about them) based on race. That's called racism ...

Re: Your Skyrim Spouse

Let's see...

My Nord blacksmith married Balimund. It made sense because he had a forge, and she needed a blace to live.

My Khajiit is still single, mainly due to the fact that she can't decide which one. I may use the console to marry her to Ralof, since she's had a little torch for him since he ...

Nearly RIP Ysolda. If you had not been marked essential, you probably would have died after repeatedly setting yourself on fire, trying to buy stuff from a market stall in flames after the Batte for Whiterun.
