Chances are you had a placement glitch and instead of the soldier spawning in a camp he spawned in the middle of the road.
I see. Thank you.
And my point was that killing him will resolve what? You'll "end his suffering"?
He's either a bug or a radiant encounter,nothing special.

I'll just kill him since he can't be helped in any way
You should also visit their camps while your at it.
There you will find a few soldiers that would benefit from your medical expertise Dr.House.

Wounded Stormcloak in The Rift.
Today while on my way to Riften I passed by something I'd never seen before in the game. A wounded Stormcloak Soldier in mourning clothes, with bandages on his head, just laying there writhing in pain in the middle of the forest.

Tried it... I really love playing without the compass and crosshair, but everything else is more difficult to do without, especially the reward warning and item names
But playing without the music is very immersive!

That I know of, one of the targets, a beggar named Narfi in Ivarstead, has an associated quest besides the dark brotherhood contract. Its nothing big though.

Re: What was your first?
First was Arena, a loooong time ago. My cousin brought in a few of his games for me and I tried them out, Arena was one of them. It was so confusing and I didn't go far in the main quest (never finished it in fact), and I actually tried to walk to other provinces! The game seemed so scary at the ...

in a game like TES, I'd rather adventure alone or with in game companions, when they are done properly...
But something like an arena mode could be fun. Maybe Bethesda could pull that off?

I'm pretty sure this one is a common glitch, but heck does it make me jump out of my chair every time and it was certainly my scariest moment in Skyrim.

You should definitely give it a try. Despite the old graphics and game mechanics its still very enjoyable and immersive. It's my favorite game in the Elder Scrolls series.

I've never use soul trap, recharge or enchant items in Skyrim or Morrowind, but I made full use of Umbra and Azura's Star in Oblivion.

Re: Baddest girl in Skyrim?
I was quite fond of Aranea Ienith (the priestess of Azura) until she got massacred by a Dragon Priest. I'm definitely behind Babette, though. All things considered, she is the most badass chick in the game, even if it's just incomprehensible to think of an apparently 10 year old girl as hot in any ...

I really loved the Thieves Guild.
The Dark Brotherhood quests were "meh", but the ending was much better than in Oblivion and I was happy to see Lucien and Shadowmere again. It's just a shame they left the most boring characters alive.

Re: Stormcloaks or Legion - which do you prefer?
I went with the Legion first and I can see their point of view, but I'm not a big fan of them. The empire is weak and I believe they're done either way.
On the other hand I sympathize with the Stormcloak ideals but detest Ulfric's character. His city is racist. I believe all he wants is power. But ...

Gabriella's hood? (Dark Brotherhood spoilers)
So I've completed the Dark Brotherhood quest and I'm doing it again with a new character, and I've always liked the hood that Gabriella uses better that the normal Shrouded Hood you get. When I saw that she was dead during the imperial legion invasion I rushed to her corpse to loot the hood but alas ...

Whiterun feels cozier. Markath is beautiful... however its location is not the best. Riften is interesting too. I vote Whiterun, even though the house is not that special and some citizens (especially the children) are annoying.

Re: How bad is the gameplay with ps3?
My main problem isn't even the lag, its how often it freezes. I have to restart my ps3 at least once every time I play.... and my play time doesn't go any longer than 3, 4 hours per day. It does lag a lot on my older character (I can't say exactly how many play hours it has right now) but deleting ...

I'd never think about killing Paarthurnax. He's no longer evil, and to be quite honest he's the only character in the main quest who actually felt like a friend to me.
And I don't really like Delphine or Esbern.

You can get em at a Barro south of Riften, just east of a Dragon Lair.

If you're feeling constantly depressed you should see a doctor about that. I've had moments when I felt terribly depressed for little things, I have anxiety problems too. Now I'm on medication, things are seemingly getting better.

Re: the moment elder scrolls got you
Well, it basically got me the moment I started Morrowind.
But if there's a really memorable moment for me, it was when I first saw the Ghost Fence. The sky was grey, I had Paradise Lost playing. It was such an exciting moment, it just felt so epic, and magical.
